I sampled this brew with my buddy Derrick. We poured in snifters at cellar temp.
The beer is pitch black with tan creamy head forming a minimal edge layer and some wispy islands in the center.
Aroma is molasses and roasted malt with dark cocoa powder and some brown sugar sweetness buried in there.
The body is fairly thick with gentle rolling carbonation. Texture is a little thick and chewy which only makes this a more appealing beer.
Flavor is brown sugar and roast malt, dark cocoa bean rich hearty molasses. No hop presence shows up and the ABV is also surprisingly well hidden for an 11% brew.
This beer is dangerously easy drinking and I wish I had another bottle as I thoroughly enjoyed this hearty treat.
