Notes/Commercial Description:
In Belgian brewing there are fantastic wild ales brewed with naturally occurring yeast. These beers develop over time and are ready on their own terms. Duck Duck Gooze is our homage to these effervescent and wonderfully complex sparkling beers.

A blend of young and old barrel aged beers, this has been one of our most sought after beers year after year since it’s original release in 2009.

Alas, it is released in very small quantities only once every three years, so it’s extremely difficult to come by beyond the day we release it. It does, however, turn up on our Tasting Room’s Vintage List from time to time, so don’t despair.

750mL bottle into a Teku
Vintage 2013

A big thanks to joshwith for sending this long time want over in a trade!

A: Pours a crystal clear golden yellow with a very small fizzy white head that dissipates almost immediately. Lots of carbonation bubbles can be seen rising to the top of the glass. Leaves essentially zero lacing. 4.25

S: Lots of sour characters, lactic acidity tartness, oak, citrus, some funky plastic like aromas. Everything comes together quite nicely. 4.25

T: A delicious puckering tartness, sour apple and citrus, some sweeter fruit notes, vinous notes that are reminiscent of sweet wine. Lots of oak and vanilla characters on the finish. The sourness builds throughout the drink. Excellent. 4.5

M/D: Medium body, carbonation on the lighter end for the style but alright, drinkability is excellent. 4.25

O: Excellent beer, well worth seeking out. Thanks again Josh! 4.5
