Thanks to eyebereej for sending this particular bottle! Reviewed from notes. Poured from 375 mL bottle into a Peg's snifter.
A: Deep hazy red with lots of visible carbonation and a two-finger foamy off-white head.
S: Tart, acetic, and fruity - sour cherries and raspberries - with moderate funk undertones.
T: Significant tartness up front. I get both acetic and lactic in near-equal balance. Sour raspberries, some funk, and a bit of barnyard. Finishes fairly dry with the lingering sourness.
M: Medium to a bit light-bodied. Good carbonation sensation. It seems a little hot for the style, but the ABV is higher than many similar beers - and it doesn't affect drinkability.
O: This was very good. I felt like it wasn't quite as complex as the best fruited sours, and the increased alcohol heat seemed a little out of place. But still quite enjoyable.
