Framboise de Amorosa
Hard-poured into a DFH signature glass.
A: Deep amber with lighter amber highlights. Nice clarity and effervescence. Decent lacing.
S: Ripe raspberries on a sun-splashed bush. Rhubarb, too. Sourness, but more of an acetic rather than acidic nature. At the subthreshold of smell damp wood, vanilla and funk can be found. With all that said, fresh, ripe raspberries are the focus.
T: Sweet and tart raspberries intertwine with acidic and acetic notes. It's quite vinegary. Although the sourness seems average, it lingers on tongue pleasantly, tingling like a nine-volt battery (that is good). Raspberries persist deep into finish.
M: Medium body with bright, prickly carbonation, which compliments taste profile nearly perfectly.
O: Framboise de Amorosa hits all the right notes for me. I wish I had a case of this stuff.
Thanks to hurfer for the assist.
