Tight cork eventually succumbs and a loud pop reveals smoky wisps of mist fluttering outward. Pours an ugly dirty brown with red highlights and a beige head with decent retention and lacing.
Before I heard the pop I could smell this beer, very aromatic. Sweet, ripe fruit notes; cranberry, cherry, raisin. Hints of sour.
Very fruity; sour grape, cherry notes, lemon zing and brett. The sweetness overpowers the sour by leaps and bounds, which makes this a bit off balance for my tastes. But still remarkable.
Light yeastiness and a sediment-like feel with strong carbonation. Sticky, fruit filled finish.
A very dramatic beer, aromatically alluring with a forceful, luscious taste and enveloping mouthfeel. Sexy, but not beautiful.
