Shared with kkipple
Appearance: pour is a dark-mahogany with a light tan head, some head and lacing
smell: toffee, fudge, caramel, rated malts, faint bourbon and vanilla
Taste: Similar to the aroma, fudge, toffee, caramel, and faint bourbon, vanilla and oak. O wish the bourbon elements were a bit more pronounced, kkipple enjoyed this one much more than I did. I don't think it compares to Angle's Share grand cru. I have never really been crazy about serpent's stout and it is too present here.
Mouthfeel: smooth, nice soft carbonation, perhaps a bit thin.
Drinkability: I was glad I split this one with someone; glad it was only 375ml
Serving type: bottle
