2011 Vintage 12.7 oz. bottle corked and caged
A - Pours pitch black with one finger head that fades rather quickly. Lacing clings to side of glass after swirling. Great foam retention.
S - Bourbon, brown sugar, booze, molasses, raisins, dark candied fruit.
T - Heavy bourbon and brandy right up front followed by a wave of fig, raisin, sweet molasses, dark brown sugar sweetness and alcohol heat.
M - Full bodied and sticky. Better carbonation than the Angel's Share.
O - Very good barrel aged beer from The Lost Abbey. Alcohol is a bit hot right now. I might suggest putting a couple years on this one to round out things even smoother. At $16 for a 375ml bottle this one is a bit on the expensive side. Well done though.
