Got this one from Bitterbill, cheers Bill!
375 ml bottle pours mahogany with a pinky of fat falling brown head, opened with a tiny pop. Nice viscosity to this, average head retention, a touch of lacing
S: Booze & plums, plus other dark fruits, faint oakyness
T: Follows the nose, some rich caramelized sugar, cherries & raisins up front. Figgyness, dryness & a touch of boozey plums dominate as this warms, a bit of Bourbon; some leafy hops are also present along with Madeira/Port. finishes dry, fruitty with a nice leafy/woody hop presence
MF: Medium bodied, slick, warming, subtle carbonation
Super easy to drink, a very nice offering from the Lost Abbey, that is going great on a bitterly cold night awaiting another La Nina snow storm!
Serving type: on-tap
