A-Black in the glass and while pouring, one finger off white/almost brown that doesn't last for long.
S-Bourbon and oak with some spices from the brandy. Roasted malt and chocolate.
T-The balance here is amazing. The bourbon and brandy barrels are in perfect harmony, the booziness of the bourbon goes great with the spices from the brandy. The oak is there as well. Rather chocolatly with some roasted malt as well.
M-Medium body, alcohol heat is hidden, not much carbonation.
O-A great beer from Lost Abbey, the balance between the brandy and the bourbon barrels was a real delight.

This is my kind of beer, lots of deep flavors.
Aroma: Brandy, bourbon, and sweet toffee.
Appearance: Black with thin brown head.
Flavor: Roasted malt, toffee. Fruity up front then coffee with heavy bourbon and brandy mixed in. Light oaky finish, so much depth in this beer.
Mouthfeel: Heavy, sticky, slight tartness at front then alcohol warming.
Overall: A lot like BCBS but more going on. Really enjoy this beer, if it wasn't so expensive i would buy all i could find. Very nice balance between the malts and the blend of the barrels. Definitely buy again. $14.99 for 12floz.

A - Super deep ruby, nearly black, small head has little retention and lacing.
S/T - Oak and barrel forward. Strong oak, vanilla, caramel, bourbon, tannins up front, then transitions smoothly through the finish, finishing with the stout-like qualities of roast coffee, and rich chocolate. Booze heat is expected and welcomed.
M - Full body, lively carbonation, yet stays smooth. Expected noticeable booze, warming.
O - Taste is superb. Is it worth the price of the bottle? I'm not sure about that, and I'm glad I had the op to have it on tap first.
