Literally the color of butterscotch. A hazy yellow/orange color. Lacing on the rim.

Scent instantly reveals itself as a sour, very sour. Peach, apricot...

More subdued then the smell led me to believe. Decent amount of sour that hits you with some floral tones which eventually spiral into one of the best beer finishes I've ever had. Pure peach. Amazingly yummy. Perfect 5 in my book. A peach pie literally lingers in your mouth.

Very light carbonation, ABV completely undetectable - I wouldn't guess this is over 6% at most.

One of the best sours I've ever had. Bravo.

Bottle shared at bu11zeye's 10,000th rating tasting.

The beer pours a hazy yellow color with a white head. The aroma is quite funky with a lot of lemons, yeast and wheat. There is also a little bit of leather and some brett thrown in. The flavor is also very tart, with a ton of lemons and hint of peaches and other very light fruit. I also get some yeast, brett, barnyard funk and wheat thrown in. Medium mouthfeel and medium to high carbonation. A great beer that I am very happy to got to share with the DFW Crew.

5th Annual Barrel Night

A bright, vibrant, and glowing orange with a bit of murky haziness running throughout. The head is a very thin off-white that leaves spots of lace down the glass.

The aroma is a combination of fresh peaches, stinging sourness, and a bit of sulfur and brick.

The flavor succeeds more aptly than the aroma. The sulfur notes have disappeared, and what's left is a well-balanced sour with tons of fresh peach flavor, and a bit of hay, grass, and earth.

Medium bodied with low to moderate carbonation.

A delicious, well balanced, peach sour. Nearly perfect.

Thanks to Steve for this one. Poured from a 750ml corked and caged bottle into a decanter and then into a Cantillon tulip

Pours a clear, pale yellow with no head but coarse white bubbles that float atop the brew. Decent legs with spotty lacing and moderate cling. Average.

Nose is peach tartness with a slight hint of yeastiness. Fruit flavors are very prominent but there's not much funkiness. Bready too. I appreciate the aroma here but it could use a little more zing.

Opens tart peaches. Very fruity, simple, and sweet. Like the aroma, there's not a lot going on here. Finish is tart with a filmy, slightly sour aftertaste. Flavors are conservative at best but well done overall.

Light to medium bodied with low carbonation. Oily and slick in the mouth and goes down with some bubbles and a slight filminess. Accented finish with a mellow, lingering aftertaste. Nice.

I'm not sure how this one would evolve with time. The flavors are very simple here and there's not a whole lot of potential for development. Drink this one fresh to appreciate the peaches that went into it.

Pours white head with some light murkiness to it.

Aroma has some light peach sweetness and lemon acidic presence with a much heavier musty, barnyard note with peach flavor.

Body is crisp with a sharp carbonation bite and a solid dryness to the finish. Acidity of the brew really hits hard with this one.

Overall a very tasty beer.

The cork comes out with a loud pop, and the beer pours a pale translucent gold with slight cloudiness. The head is voluminous and lasting. There's a whiff of sulfur initially, but that dissipates after a moment, and the fruit begins to shine. This has a vibrant, juicy peach aroma with some earthy fruit skin notes, mild citrus acidity and a hint of funk. Peaches steal the show here, reminding me of Yellow Bus several years ago, though certainly less acidic. The palate, like the nose, has a big peach flavor that feels very multi-faced, with flesh, skin and tannins. The barrel has little influence here, and the acidity is pretty restrained at this point, though I suspect it will grow in time at the expense of some of the fruit character. The finish lingers really nicely, mildly tannic and fruity, thankfully not watery. This beer exceeded my expectations quite a bit given the initial impressions I read; perhaps a few months in the bottle has done it some good.

I had this several times at Night of the Barrels.

Appearance: Pours a cloudy yellow color with a layer of white head and good retention.

Smell: Fruity and tart, but there is a weird funky smell mixing with the fruit and it doesn't work perfectly for me. I'm also picking up some sweetness from the malt.

Taste: This is an extremely tart beer, reminds me of lemons. I'm picking up a bunch of fruit as well, but I don't know that I would have told you it was clearly peaches.

Mouthfeel: Medium body with light, fluffy carbonation and a very dry finish. Perfect.

Overall: This is a really nice sour beer, I loved that intense tartness. I would have enjoyed it if the peaches came out a bit more. Still really good.
