Brewbies Festival 2012
Brewed once for the 2012 Pizza Port Carlsbad Brewbies Festival.
Slightly hazed, bright pink and glowing ruby with a moderately sized, though not at all persistent white crown atop. This beer leaves the glass spotted with sticky dots of lace. Unique and beautiful.
The aroma is sweet, fruity, and slightly acidic. The combinations of sweet, juicy strawberries, bright green apple, and tart cherry combine nicely. It's almost a juice-like aroma, except for the acidic, biting sour element found just alongside the fruit.
The flavor follows the aroma, with sweet pear and strawberry flavors combining with a mild funk and a moderate sour character. This is not overly sour or overly aggressive, but the fruit character really shines through.
Medium bodied with moderate to high carbonation. Gulpable.
An absolute pleasure to drink. I could have glass after glass of this and still want more. This was most certainly the highlight of the 2012 Brewbies Festival.
