A: The beer is very hazy orange amber in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high off white head that gradually died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles on the surface, a collar around some edge and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of grassy hops are present in the nose along with notes of grainy malts.
T: The taste mostly follows the smell, except that the malty flavors seem to be a little more prominent and the hops only contribute a slight amount of bitterness.
M: It feels just about medium-bodied and slightly chewy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I found this beer to be a good representation of the style and had a nice balance between the malts and hops.

On tap at the Brewery in Peekskill, pours clear lighter copper amber, supporting a middle of the road off white head, and then showing better then average lace. Just a hint of hops in the nose. Balanced brew, toffee malts a hint of tropical fruit and grainy hops. Nothing special, but a decent offering for a tiny brwery that is hosting a boatload of guest taps and still searching/finding its way with its own brews.

Had on tap at blind tiger- pours a clear golden color, with an inch and a half if bubbly head, decent retention, minimal lacing.
Smell is mild- slight aroma of citrus hops and light grains.
Taste is excellent- citrus hops, light grain profile, very refreshing.
Mouthfeel is great- light to medium body with moderate carbonation. This one is definitely a keeper and an excellent example of the style.

A burnt orange color topped with a dense head of foam, Hop Common is definitely sessionable and pairs very well with the food on the menu at the brewpub. The first sip tasted woody and left lacing on my pint glass. Nicely carbonated and somewhat dry, this well balanced beer has a creamy mouthfeel and a hoppy finish. Regularly on tap and well executed, it's worth a try either on its own or along with some of Peekskill's other brews.

On tap at the brewery.
Pours a hazy dark orange. 1.5 inch head, not much lacing.
Slightly weak aromas- spicy and grassy tones are what I get.
The taste follows, slightly stronger. Lightly bitter, with grassy hop flavors coming to the forefront. A bit floral, too.
Light bodied, well carbonated, very drinkable.
A good stab at the California Common style. Could have a bit more bright flavors.

Poured a deep copper hue with a half finger foamy white head. There was good retention and lacing.
The smell featured a light toasted malts accompanied by a grassy hop.
The taste was very well balanced with a round caramel malt and a cleansing bright grassy hop.
The mouthfeel was clean with a dry finish.
Overall a tasty well balanced ale. Very sessionable.
