n 1. The defining spirit or mood of an era as shown by the ideas and beliefs of the time.
n 2. Clear, pale golden straw-colored appearance, the taste is refreshing, tart, sour and acidic, with a lemony-citric fruit sharpness and almost no hop bitterness.

Thanks to aerozeppl for the growler!
Pours a clear light straw color with a small white head that fades to a ring with lots of bubbles.
Slight hint of wheat and lemon in the nose, but not really much going on here.
Flavor is strongly influenced by the lemon with a bit of a wheaty taste as well. The lemon gives it a very pleasant sour tartness. Quite flavorful for a low ABV.
Light and refreshing with big carbonation giving the sourness a prickly feeling.
Overall a very enjoyable beer. Berliner weiss isn't a style I've had many of, but if they all taste like this, I'll definitely seek out more as a nice sessionable beer.

Big thanks to cavedave for hooking me up with this growler. Poured directly down the center of a pint glass, this brew appears a perfectly clear straw yellow color with slightly more than a finger of white froth. The cap slowly fades maintaining a thin film across the top. Rising bubbles of carbonation maintain this film for quite a duration. As the glass is swirled and sips are taken, spots and finger-like patterns of lace stick to the glass.
The aroma of this brew initially comes off quite sweet and grainy. Hints of wheat and cereal-like grains give way to a mild fruity indication of pear and apples. There is a faint lemony aspect across the back which is quite subtle compared to other takes on the style. Regardless, this brew smells light, refreshing and quite fitting of the style.
The taste is again, grainy and sweet with wheat and cereal grains. That initial sweetness gives way to a very mild tartness coming across like lemon that provides just enough tartness to bring out fruited flavors of pear and apple just like the aroma led on. It takes a few sips for your palate to become accustomed but once you pick up on the subtle flavoring, it is hard to miss.
This is a light bodied brew with a moderate amount of carbonation. It is light, refreshing and very easy drinking which is exactly what I look for in this style. The tartness was mild yet enjoyable, I wouldn't argue with it being just a little more sharp and tart but regardless this was enjoyable. I really liked how the cereal to wheat grain flavoring really shined through in this example and had a pleasant fruited inclusion of pear/apple. All around, this was very well balanced and effortlessly drinkable.

Enjoyed in a pint glass. Not positive on availability but I know it is available now.
A: POurs a very light blonde color with a slight head, less than an inch. When dissipates, leaves no lacing.
S: Strongest scent is the wheat. Other than that not much going on in the nose besides a slight lemon scent.
T: Very good flavor, can taste a strong wheat flavor. Also, has a strong lemon flavor that comes though. Nice carbonation.
M: Very sour as expected due to style and presence of lemons. Not very hoppy, nice carbonation. Starts of wheaty, ends soury and leaves mouth with a bit of a tart aftertaste.
Overall, and interesting expereince. Drinks similar to a lambic, light and sour. Easy to put away a few due to the light body and the low abv.
