The food is overpriced and not very good. The beer however is worth it. They brew a lot of different beers, so there is something for everyone. They even have cask ales often. Most of the beers there are on the safer side (no extreme flavors or ingredients) but are not weak in flavor as is the case with a lot of brew pubs. The bar is on the first floor with giant glass doors that open in the summer and allow for a view of the river. I have eaten upstairs several times, always had problems though with food or service so now I stay downstairs.

My wife and I had our first "date" at the original location 3 years ago. Since they moved we make a weekly visit on our way back from work every week.
The service is amazing. They treat you extremely well and personally. Always willing to have us try new beers, or refresh our memory on ones we have had in the past, but haven't had in awhile. The place looks great, open, a lot of room and as a results isn't ridiculously crowded (read elbow to elbow) like the older place. There is seating upstairs for dining and a smaller bar, downstairs is more open with long tables and bar seating at the bar. All beers are available at either upstairs or downstairs bars. There is an open floor that allows you to look down through to the bar and people below, which is a nice touch.
What else can I say. Nothing touches this place in my opinion. I have brought friends and family here and they are now regulars or beg to go when we visit. Quality is a MAJOR focus here. The brew master is constantly checking glasses, lines, taps, and other equipment to make sure the product is 100% every pour. Every week they have a cask on of different varieties. They sometimes will mix two of their beers together for a cask or it will be a simulation run of a coming new or new batch of a previous beer. There is a beer for everyone, whether they are a craft brew "novice" or a genuine "beer snob"
I thought it was a little more generic at the older place. Now I would describe it as "high end" pub food. Their sausages, which are a new addition are made in house and are outrageously good. The pork confit sandwich I highly recommend personally. The only reason it's not a 5 for food is because I can see how some people might find the recipes to be a little "pretentious", but if you give it a chance, everything is good.
Overall, if you go, you will want to go back!

Peekskill Brewery lived up to the hype to me. They do hoppy beers better than most and the other styles I had were world class or close to...
The appearance was nice... nice bar area with a bunch of tables surrounding the windows and walls.Very nice setting. Like an upper class bar/pubm
Service was vert good. Nothing super off the charts but they made great suggestii 2nd and answered all questions.
Selection for the beer was phenomenal. 16 taps, 1 cask and they had liquor for sale as well like a typical bar. Food selection was great as well and paired well with the brews. They had a chesse section sausage section burgers and others.. very game-y foods such as rabbit, duck etc.
Beers were phenomenal. Enough said. Look at thier reviews. Great selection and something for everyone.
Food was beyond phenomenal. Ao good and all went well with thier beer selections.
Quality... top notch. Worth every dollar.
Value... notice I said nothing about price yet.. Me and my fiancee had 3 flights of 4 beers($24 total, $8 each flight), she had a burger and fries($15) and I split a sausage fest with my friend (I paid $12 it was $24 total). I had an addition pint($6) and went home with a growler($25) ... $80 after tax and tip. I was blown away as that was very expensive. Basically they would charge $20 for a six pack of thier brew.. that is the one thing that will deter me from visiting more frequently. Overall you get what you pay for (maybee a tad too much) but they were world class and definitely recommend.

A jewel on the Hudson. A great new-ish brewery run by the former head brewer at Ithaca Brewing Company who seems to have really come into his own. Every beer I've tried in the two times I've gone has been incredible, amazing really. Amazeball, Eastern, Double, and Higher Standard, Simple Sour, Moscow on the Hudson, Vaporizer, Awesome Sauce, and pretty well damn much everything is well-crafted, drinkable, and creative.
This brewing spirit extends into their food selection as well. The food is really expensive, mind you, but you get your money's worth. The poutine is excellent (every beer bar tries to do poutine these days, don't they? This is one of the best beer bar poutines I've had) as well as the burgers and everything else. Really nice people as well. There's a bald bartender with a moustache was working the first time I went who was super knowledgeable and friendly, talked to me about homebrewing and all the beers that were on tap. I wish I remembered his name! Table service was slightly slower than bar service the second time I went there, nothing that bad though.
There are two areas to enjoy the brewery- downstairs on ground level is a regular bar with a growler station. Not sure if you can get food down here. The growler filler is one of the most high tech machines I've ever seen. Upstairs is the restaurant. Worth a trip if you're in the area, and honestly worth a trip from anywhere in New York, really.

Moved to Peekskill recently and am very happy to have the brewery a short 5 minute drive away. Very neat atmosphere with a modern industrial design. They have a decent beer selection with around 10-12 original beers on tap varying in styles. I preferred the Vaporizer after trying most of their beers after a few visits. They also open a new cask varying in style every Thursday which I haven't had the chance to get to, but have heard good things. Give this place a try if you are ever in upper Westchester.

Arrived at noon today for a few tastes and a growler or two. Tried some good beers. Simple sour and styriana are really nice. Nuggy yum yum and hop common were solid. Nypa and eastern standard were decent. Higher tankard was the one I got a growler of. Hope to be back for amaze balls soon.
The pretzels were good and the service was informative and good as well

This stop was worth every one of the 120 minutes I went out of my way to get here on a trip home from Burlington,VT. Peekskill is in a great spot right off the highway and right across the street from a riverfront park. Parking was plentiful on a Saturday afternoon.
Cool place inside with a long bar that seats 20 or so and lots of tables in the dining room. Bright, open and airy, which is not usually the case in a plce like this.
Beer selection as good as advertised or could be expected to be. Lots of hoppy beers of various style and strengths, a cask, a couple of sours, strong beers, lighter beers. Even a totally unnecessary guest tap or two. Not a bad beer in the lot. Shotgun Willie and Eastern Standard IPA were the standouts for me. I'd have filled the car with growlers if travel plans had not precluded our ability to drink them fresh.
Food was decent. Service was very good, especially given that the bar was packed.

This being the 5th visit combined, between the previous location and new, the service is still pitiful. The last location was terribly cramped, and the new spot isn't that much roomier - maybe an extra 20 person capacity at best.
Between the four bartenders, it literally took 7 minutes to place an order, which I had to prompt, and that was on three separate occasions. After my first flight, someone presumably a manager/owner, took the paddle away and didn't even bother to ask if I wanted anything else. Thank you very much, m'am.
It's as if the ownership and staff firmly believe they're not situated in Peekskill, but Williamsburg or Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Far too obnoxious and pretentious for my taste.
The beer? Oh yea, right - there's better in the area.
If you're from out of town, and want to try a solid local NY beer, go across the Hudson to Chester, and try Rushing Duck.

My wife and I came here for dinner with friends on a Saturday night- making reservations earlier in the day for 7:30 pm -entering through the side door off the parking lot we took a peek at the first floor bar and through the window to the brewing vats as we waited for the elevator to the dining level on the second floor -the 3rd, 4th and 5th(?) level elevator buttons were taped off (we were later told that those floors aren't finished yet) - walked a few steps off the elevator into the large dining room where the mait're de told us our table is "being cleaned" and we could wait by the crowded bar along the short wall by the entrance - a few short minutes later she came over to tell us our table was ready - nice-
we got seated at a table along the rail which looks down into the first floor bar - very nice - the large and loud room has nice dim lighting by hanging pendant lamps with Edison bulbs - good atmosphere - the room feels very 'open' -
the menu looked good, with a beer list consisting almost entirely of house brews, with many styles represented -they also had Ommegang Hennepin and a cask ale from Rushing Duck - we started with some tasty appetizers and a dozen oysters - my wife ordered a short pint of Amazeballs, her now favorite beer, and my friend and I ordered a couple pints of Higher Standard ( which they describe as a 'triple ipa, ha!) -
good appetizers and good beer on the first round - the imperial ipa's paired nicely with the oysters and the wings my buddy ordered -
We ordered short ribs for the main course and Vaporizer imperial stouts - another nice pairing - for the next round we ordered some Midnight Toker black ales, which wound up being good beers to end on with their surprising infusion of coffee flavor -
too full for dessert, we left satisfied -
This was a very nice dining experience - cheers!

Absolutely awesome decor! The place is really nicely decorated, with a great big open room. One drawback to that was that it was a bit loud, but good crowd. Felt like a neighborhood place, coming from out of town but still nice chat with bartenders. Food took a while. Beers were great, and everyone around me liked theirs as well. They were willing to take the time to be sure you got the beer you wanted and giving different samples. Didn't try the restaurant part, but looked nice- much more open than the old place. Nice that they had the ballgame on, like a bar but with much better beer. Yummy pretzels!
