Nice joint, went in at about 2pm on a Thursday to have lunch and knock a few back. Fairly dim, with an interesting musical selection that included (as I recall) Fatboy Slim, Biggie, GNR, Bob Dylan. Not too loud, not too soft, just right. Football on the tv was nice too. I grabbed an elevated boot, which was stellar, and relaxed.
Service was great, I was handed menus as soon as walked in practically, and the waitress was attentive and knowledgeable. Menu is organized with lots of headings - nice, I suppose. I almost prefer the non-headed menus that are (to me) easier to peruse, but I understand that this one would be much more useful to someone who wasn't already pretty familiar with the majority of the beers being served.
Selection was impressive - especially the cask selection. Ship Inn ESB was particularly intriguing. Nice variety of styles, brewers, very nice. 40 some-odd taps make it kind of hard to have a bad selection, but this was spaced out pretty well in my opinion.
Food was a highlight - had an 8" pizza (bbq chicken and bacon) that was very well done. If the rest of the food is up to the same quality, would have no qualms eating here on a regular basis.
Prices were fine - clearly marked with glass size and abv listed on menu. order a sampler of 4 8 oz pours of the Bruery's stuff for $17 - a bargain. Will certainly be going back again.

Monster great places, 2 locations mid-town. My go-to. Great happy hour prices. A crowded but happy place.

A very fine place to spend a few hours, 40 taps, some locally brewed, like Barrier & Other Half. The rest split between Colorado, California & Belgium, Holland. Great helpful service.

Great selection of 40 or so taps. A few decent bottle offerings hiding behind the bar as well. Lots of east coast/northeast stuff. Helpful and friendly staff. Centrally located to popular areas- Madison square/flatiron/Times Square. Food looked good but I didn't eat. Would definitely go back!

This place feels like an airplane hanger. Huge, yawning, cavernous.
The attendants are very present, but always seem to be in a bad, bad mood. Maybe this has something to do with the fact that the place is perpetually crowded by loud and obnoxious professionals loosening their ties and getting loaded.
Their beer list has some gems, and infrequently gets exciting local stuff (like Grimm, which is a rarity even amongst craft beer bars here) but for the most part it's more common craft.

I finally made it out to the famous Rattle n Hum. Overall I'd say that you can't go wrong with their impressive beer selection. I would definetely come back here to try more great beers. The staff is friendly enough, although I didn't really talk to any of them or get beer suggestions. The vibe is merely o.k. It is like a cross between a sports bar, fraternity bar, and craft beer scene. The decor is not particularly nice, but hey, I'm not a particularly fancy guy. Yet, the fact that it is not an over the top obnoxious frat house and meathead sports bar, and, the fact that the selection is so great, it will keep me coming back.

I like the summer beer events they have on Tuesdays with different breweries. However, I think the beers are a dollar or two over priced, especially for the beers that are offered in 8oz pours. Also, not nearly enough beers are offered by 16oz glasses. most are 14oz or 12oz. I feel like they nickel and dime the customer that way. Other than that, it's a bar with often a very great selection, and the food menu is very large and diverse.

Went during lunch time so it was pretty quiet. They had some nice beers on draft but I wasn't blown away by their selection.
Service was solid. Would love to visit again next time I'm in NYC.

Decorated like a craft beer lover's college dorm room, with brewery posters and other craft beer memorabilia thrown haphazardly about. Smells like standing water, and is totally overrun by white collar "dudes." BUT. It's still good.
The staff is quick, attentive, knowledgeable, and kind. The drafts rotate often, and the bar does so many tap takeovers and promotional events, that the menu will often feature what feels like the complete lineup of a few select brands. That's not awesome in terms of brand diversity, but it is awesome in that it's like taking a complete tour of a whole new brewery every time you visit.
Despite the aforementioned smell, the glassware is clean, and the taps seem to be well taken care of. Prices are fairly standard for the area. Not low, but hardly exorbitant.
Not really my kind of place in that its vibe and the crowd are very "fraternity," but the specials and the opportunities to really dive deep into the offerings from specific breweries definitely make it worth coming back to.

Arrived at lunchtime on a Friday. It was pretty dead when I walked in, but soon enough, the lunch crowd started to arrive and the bar sprung to life. Nice selection on tap. Started off the day with a F0 Brett Farmhouse Ale from Transmitter Brewing, followed by a Pretty Things Jack D'or. Quality of the beers and service was great. The bartender even took her time to pour me the Jack D'or when the keg wasn't working properly. I had the "luck" of having a guy on his lunch break sit next to me at the bar and got completely sloshed before he returned to work. Seemed like a few regulars were sitting at the bar. Overall, a great tap list but probably a better vibe at night than during the day.
