I visited this place last Friday night while up in NYC. Overall, I think the place has a very cool vibe and I really like the decor and seating for how much space they have. The bar is long and seats many people and the tables seem set up for maximum availability. Surprisingly it was too crowded either for a Friday night.

The bottle list is on the wall in the back and it is impressive, though outdated. I was super surprised to see things like Vanilla BCS (Not available, like I said outdated), Brooklyn Black Ops, Firestone Walker 14 among other things. The tap list wasn't super impressive but had some great solid stuff like Troegs Nugget Nectar, Stone IPA/Arrogant Bastard, Avery Maharajah (I purchased this though and it was DEFINITELY old. Almost no hops and all prune, oxidized flavors. Disappointing), Some things from Captain Lawrence like XTRa gold and regular tripe and Imperial IPA, some NY locals, and even Cigar City Maduro Brown. Not bad, but they had a good amount of beer that isn't worth your time if you are on BA.

As for quality, I already noted above that the Avery Maharaja was super oxidized and old. Not cool. Also, they use just whatever glassware to serve beer in without much thought. I watched them use 4 different glasses for the Nugget Nectar (?). Overall though, you have a lot of good beer on tap, most of which is correct.

Had a combo plate of appetizers with my brother and it was good, standard bar fare.

Price wasn't astronomical as I expected and the service was pretty good, the bartenders were friendly and on time, though they definitely were not experts on beer, though thats ok.

Overall a good time and worth checking out if you're in mid manhattan. (1,701 characters)

I like the summer beer events they have on Tuesdays with different breweries. However, I think the beers are a dollar or two over priced, especially for the beers that are offered in 8oz pours. Also, not nearly enough beers are offered by 16oz glasses. most are 14oz or 12oz. I feel like they nickel and dime the customer that way. Other than that, it's a bar with often a very great selection, and the food menu is very large and diverse. (439 characters)

Went during lunch time so it was pretty quiet. They had some nice beers on draft but I wasn't blown away by their selection.

Service was solid. Would love to visit again next time I'm in NYC. (194 characters)

Decorated like a craft beer lover's college dorm room, with brewery posters and other craft beer memorabilia thrown haphazardly about. Smells like standing water, and is totally overrun by white collar "dudes." BUT. It's still good.

The staff is quick, attentive, knowledgeable, and kind. The drafts rotate often, and the bar does so many tap takeovers and promotional events, that the menu will often feature what feels like the complete lineup of a few select brands. That's not awesome in terms of brand diversity, but it is awesome in that it's like taking a complete tour of a whole new brewery every time you visit.

Despite the aforementioned smell, the glassware is clean, and the taps seem to be well taken care of. Prices are fairly standard for the area. Not low, but hardly exorbitant.

Not really my kind of place in that its vibe and the crowd are very "fraternity," but the specials and the opportunities to really dive deep into the offerings from specific breweries definitely make it worth coming back to. (1,028 characters)

Arrived at lunchtime on a Friday. It was pretty dead when I walked in, but soon enough, the lunch crowd started to arrive and the bar sprung to life. Nice selection on tap. Started off the day with a F0 Brett Farmhouse Ale from Transmitter Brewing, followed by a Pretty Things Jack D'or. Quality of the beers and service was great. The bartender even took her time to pour me the Jack D'or when the keg wasn't working properly. I had the "luck" of having a guy on his lunch break sit next to me at the bar and got completely sloshed before he returned to work. Seemed like a few regulars were sitting at the bar. Overall, a great tap list but probably a better vibe at night than during the day. (695 characters)

Was there in October when they had a Founders tap takeover. Was able to try a lot of the Founders beers that I hadn't yet. Bartender was knowledgeable and they had an excellent bottle list. (192 characters)
