Stopped in here twice on my recent trip to NYC, since it was so close to the hotel, and had a nice revolving tap list. Impressive bottles list too, but a little pricey, and why bother with these taps (and very reasonable draught pricing)! I went during a down time, and then on a Saturday when they were doing a brewery tour trip, so my take on the vibe might be off, but it seemed like a mix of all sorts of people. The owner was tending bar one time, and was rather nice, the other time, the girl at the bar seemed overwhelmed, and in need of help. For those visiting from out of town, I found this to be an excellent spot to try beers from the NY area such as Southern Tier and Captain Lawrence, not to mention many others. I found the food to be rather run of the mill, but certainly acceptable. Unlike Blind Tiger, the high selection rating I gave was for the variety, whereas Blind Tiger has fewer, but more specialty taps. Seems like a great place for the beer community in Manhattan, if I lived there I'd be here often.

Recently out in the city to meet an old friend. Have been wanting to go here for some time, but just hadnt made it. Im glad I did. My kind of place. Good beer. Cool people. Staff was friendly and accomodating. A solid selection of styles. The pricing was a little heavy but I didnt rate it as such figuring it was the city. We tried a few different things from the menu. All were good, but as one might expect from simple pub food. Nothing I'd write home about, but good.
All in all a place I'd recommend. Had a great time.
