The first in the golden girls series. A growler from sourbatchkid and poured into a pint glass.
A- a steady pour yields a good two fingers of bright white head that holds for a good bit before settling to a thin skin on top and some light lace on the glass. Hazy pale straw yellow orange with a brilliant sunshine glow when held to the light.
S- crisp citrus notes and a nice touch of yeast. Hints of coriander giving a orange peel and spice hit. Mild sweetness.
T- opens up with a citrus zest and spice flourish that rolls smoothly into a light touch of sweetness and a faint fresh grassy hint. Lemon and orange peel come to mind and the flavors work very nicely with the coriander spice hit. Super clean finish with a light herbal touch in the back of the mouth.
M- light body and carb, super crisp and refreshing.
O- I would drink this all summer long and be a happy man. A full flavored session brew that would be a great beer to get people into craft beer. Ill have to snag a few more of these before the kegs are all gone.
