First had: on tap at their brewpub

Labeled as a "holiday saison." Poured into a nondescript 13oz. glass, a slightly hazy, straw-yellow, with a huge, overflowing cloud of foamy white head. Very nice! Light aroma, grassy, with touches of lemon zest and bubblegum. Taste of pale malts up front, infused with light grass and barnyard funk, citrus pith and bubblegum mid-palate, and a whopping kick of grainy alcohol to finish. Quite interesting, but I actually think they overdid it just a bit with the booziness. Not bad though, just a tad unexpected. Light-medium mouthfeel, aside from that boozy kick. Pretty drinkable overall, but one glass was enough for me. Mellow out the alkyhol and then we'll talk.
