A thick creamy head sits atop the opaque blackness of this traditional dry Irish stout. Roasted chocolate and coffee notes make this beer a great treat.

Could use a little carbonation to bring out the flavors but otherwise its very tasty. Granite City Restaurant is the only place I know where you can get it.

Creamy and delicious! Great for session drinking. Malty and rich flavors with low to moderate bitterness. Would recommend. A great example of the style. CHEERS!

Granite City Broad Axe Oatmeal Stout, 5.2% ABV, 29.3 IBU. Pours black with finger and a half of tan head. Nose is chocolate and malt, taste follows, a bit sweet, no bitterness. Excellent smooth mouthfeel, overall excellent. Could use more flavor, but decent. Session stout.

Growler
Pours jet black. Bit of lacing for a head.
Smells of oatmeal, licorice, cocoa and coffee.
Flavor of oatmeal, licorice, toffee, coffee and leather.
Medium body, light tingly carbonation on the tongue.
Decent oatmeal stout, good flavor for the abv. Worth trying.
