Clear, bright golden/yellow with a tight, thin, creamy laced head.

Soft sweet tea-like aroma, and very clean.

Smooth, tighly carbonated mouthfeel. Little malt flavour or sweetness. Thin, faint, bready/fruity character, but it gets lost in the overall blandness of this beer. Way too tannic and unpleasant on the palate. Very dry and unexciting entering the finish.

Blah. Next beer ...

Presentation: It was poured from a green 12oz bottle into a pint glass. The label has no other info.

Appearance: It has a light golden amber body with good clarity and some visible carbonation. From the pour I got a light, just off white head of soapy big bubbles. This fades out quickly leaving just a thin lacy ring of foam around the edge of the glass.

Smell: The aroma is light and thin. I can only pick up a slight cereal and mild grain scent.

Taste/Palate: Its light bodied and simple like the aroma it has a thin cereal grain flavor with a very light touch of lemony citrus hops. These hops add a very light bitterness and acidity. Under all this there is a slight light-struck (skunk) presence.

Notes: This is a one and done for me. I am a fan of Yuengling but this was a bit of a let down for me.

Presentation: 12 oz green twist off long neck bottle, no freshness date.

Appearance: Light yellow blonde colour with a bubbly white lace that gives a decent lacing effect down the glass.

Smell: There is barely any aroma at all, blurred grain and that is about it.

Taste: Smooth carbonation with a light to moderate body, watery malt flavour throughout with some undertones of grain husk. Clean processed hop bitterness keeps things in balance. Very slight apple like fruitiness in the middle, quick clean and dry finish.

Notes: Lackluster and bland, goes down easy like an American Macro Lager with only one weak resemblance of an ale through the fruitiness. This beer does nothing for me other than quench my thirst with minimal flavour.

I've had a few, fresh Yuenglings, on tap, with some Pennsylvania friends, but I've never tried this "APA". This Lord pours a clear, tawny yellow body, with an offwhite head that falls flat in less than a minute. A few patches of lace are left on the glass, but the appearance isn't impressive.

Aroma is semi-skunky, with some Euro-skunk hops. Kayo's corn syrup provides a not so pleasant malt backbone. Adjuncts seem present.

Mouthfeel is the forte of this one. A mild hops bite, and active carbonation are the salvation of this aspect of this brew.

The taste is, simply, unremarkable. Actually, it's kinda bad. Corn syrup adjuncts, and skunky hops seem to be what you have here.

I'm not familiar with Lord Chesterfield, but I doubt if he was a brewer. I'm reluctant to trash a beer, and Yuengling's is an excellent, regional brewery, but they need to work on this one.

The beer pours a very light, clear yellow color with a white head. The aroma is full of skunky malt. Why, oh why must beers be bottled in green bottles? The flavor is also very heavy on the skunk, with a little bit of grass mixed in from the hops. Thin mouthfeel and medium carbonation. A skunky mess that I would avoid until they learn that green bottles are bad for beer.

12oz can poured into a pint glass.

Pours a very clear and slightly hazy yellow with a small thin white head. Nose is fairly lager-like with some light frutiness.

Taste is quite good, has a light hoppiness to with a decent malt backbone. It's pretty light and crisp, easy to drink. Better than their traditional lager or Black & Tan

12oz can around fridge temp poured into pint glass. no freshness date but my father came home with a case of this fresh from the pennslyvania brewery so im sure its fresh.

pours a super clear pale straw yellow color with a nice big white head that settled to some patchy foam. lots of nice sticky lace. nasty color, but a pretty nice head.

hardly an aroma. some light grainy malts and a touch of an herbal aroma, from the hops?

grainy malt sweetness, herbal/floral hops with just a slight slight hop bitterness in the finish, a little lemon citrus like flavor. has some lager like funk, but this is an ale?

very light body, a little too much carbonation.

drinkability is nice, but id prolly rather have some of the traditional lager than this. even that seems to have a little more of a hop bite than this pale ale. just not much of a pale ale, but this is a solid brewery none the less and needs to be respected.
