Was in the area to get something for my flight home that night, and decided to stop in here to check out the famous BevMo!. The beer section was on the left side of the store. There were racks in the aisles with various sixpacks and cases. They had a massive selection of local brews, as well as a good selection of the nationally available ones. I would compare this to our local Total Wines, but I think this has a better selection. The prices were standard for the area. Man, how I wish NC liquor laws would allow us to have stores like this. On the far right of the store there was even a nice selection of glassware available. Cool store.

Just went here for the first time today. The store is located in a big shopping plaza next to an Outback Steakhouse. The store itself is very nice and clean but a bit smaller than the other BevMo's I've been to.
The beer selection was pretty good, arranged by country and region. The US offerings and esp. Californians were of course the biggest taking up one of the 3 rows of beer. The other 2 were taken up by all imports and a row of refrigerators. Due to the size they have to cut down a bit on their selection I think. They had a very nice glassware section. After browsing a bit I picked up a couple of Urthel offerings and an Alaskan sixer. I spotted a Russian River bottle, but that's about as good as it got.
Service-wise, the staff is very knowledgeable and can work their way around the entire store and tell you almost everything about every selection. I was pretty impressed by that.
I'll probably go to the Van Nuys store next time I go to a BevMo, but this was a good location in an area that otherwise doesn't have a great selection available.

Beer Buyer Carlos is working his tail off to get a great selection and improve his awareness of the beer scene. He's actively pursuing and finding harder to find stuff and improving his store's image in the BA world, and it shows. (A recent addition is the Goose Island Bourbon County Stout.)
If you are looking for really rare, hard-to-find things, this is not the place to go. If you are looking for local stuff, good stuff, at typical prices, for everyday drinking, this is worth having a look around. And ask for Carlos and introduce yourself if you stop in. You won't regret it!
