On tap at Purkmistr Restaurant

Purkmistr's standard light (svetle) lager is a clear golden color with a white head that has modest retention.

The aroma is flawless, with a floral-toned mix of malt and faint hops. Fine sweet and malty flavor.

M - smooth and crisp.

O - Certainly above average for a Czech pilsner, meaning very good indeed. (343 characters)

Forget the mass produced Eurolager now being made in Pilsen, this is the real deal. Purkmistr's standard lager is just what you expect a good pilsner to be.

It pours a dark golden colour with a bright white head, and a distincy floral, herbal nose. In the mouth it is smooth and with a lovely bite to it, which slightly more famous pilsners used to have.

Quite simply one of the best pilsner style lagers I have had in the Czech Republic. (444 characters)

Two bottled purchased from Purkmistr brewery in Plzen, Czech.

.5L Bottle served in Purkmistr beer glass.

A- Clear, Pale Gold; one finger head with not much retention; not much lacing.

S- Toasted malts, hops and earthly herbs.

T- Sweet toasted malts with distinct hops and a touch of yeastiness. Mellows to a crisp yet bitter finish.

M- Medium bodied, mild carbonation.

D- Great beer, stands out from other pale Czech lagers; keeps the same qualities in the bottle as from the tap. (486 characters)
