Great spot in the Wildwoods. The next best place for selection would be Atlantic City at Firewaters and I'm tired of the sub-par service there.
Nice selection with about 36 drafts and 40 bottles, not counting the BMC that no doubt pays the bills. New menu this summer is great with pizza that rivals the boardwalk and beats them in price. 50 cents to a dollar cheaper than any other bar in town that may even serve a craft brew and served in proper glassware. Beers are fresh with a good turn-over of the taps. My go to spot in CMC.

I have heard some good things about this place recently so I figured I would check it out for lunch. After being fleeced for all of my quarters by the ridiculously expensive parking meeter out front I entered the bar area and was greeted by a large brick and wood lined space. Pretty large bar area on the left with a decent sized dining room to the right. Tons of TV's all over the place and a separate bar area outside if you want to sit out there. Quality was good, correct glasses and decent enough food. Service was pretty good. He was around when I needed him and he offered some suggestions. Selection was great for the area. Tons of different beers from all over the country. I stuck with the local options and got a Cape May Blonde. They have two dedicated taps just for Cape May which is awesome, but they also have plenty of other options as well. Food was decent enough. I tried to get a brick oven pizza but it wasn't up to temperature yet so I had to switch to the chicken finger sandwich which was pretty solid. Overall a nice beer bar in a sea of nothingness. I will definitely return in the future.

I've been here twice and both times service was terrible; ordered food and they brought entrees out at 3 different time. Waitress disappeared for a long while... bad service. They do have a large selection of draft beers, which was nice. Food is OK, nothing to write home about. I wouldn't be upset if I never went here again. Might be good if you grabbed a seat at the bar and ordered from Bartender.

Went for dinner on 6/30. We saw their tap list on their website so decided to go. When we got there, we realized their tap was out of date and so was their draft board in the bar. They have 36 taps so they have more craft beer than anywhere down in Wildwood and many of shore points for that matter.
A - Cool atmosphere. Plenty of TVs and glad to see the Phillies were on every one. They have an outside section and bar with a person playing guitar.
Service - It was ok. We sat at a table and our waitress was good, however she was not knowledgable about beer and she never brought one of the salads and it was on the bill. We asked for a sample of Cape May IPA based on the reviews on BA. We believe they gave us the Cape May Saison. I questioned whether or not they mixed up the taps and they said no. The young bar tender had very little knowledge of craft beers.
Selection - The food quality of drafts was average. Nothing to crazy and not a good selection of APA or IPAs on when we were there. Their takeout is really none existent. They maybe had six different beers in the takeout fridge, all cans. Their website claims to have more.
Food - The was not that good. Tyson chicken wings for the kids. Loaded cheese fries seemed like frozen crinkle fries served on foil. The brick oven pizza was average. The Farmhouse Mussels with blue cheese, bacon, and onions was VERY good. The boneless chicken tenders were average at best. We didn't realize they charge for refills on sodas until we go the bill.
They do have their own parking lot which is nice, especially in that part of town. Overall, the food was not that good and we could not find a decent IPA or APA to drink so we went back to OC and drank the good beer that we brought.
We won't be going back to Goodnight Irene's.

Since our shore house is about 3 blocks away, it's safe to say that this is our summer watering hole. We discovered this place a few years back and are frequent guests all summer long. A great beer selection especially for the town and good food to compliment. We were there last August (maybe September) for a Weyerbacher tap takeover at the outdoor bar where I first discovered their Imperial Pumpkin Ale. Can't wait to be sitting at that outside bar again shortly. Maybe a new discovery awaits me this summer.

This is the BEST (and almost ONLY) place at the Jersey shore I have stumbled into that has a great craft beer selection. There are a whopping 36 taps, and the couple I had tasted very fresh. Food was good as well - the thin crust, brick-oven pizza and steamers were particularly delicious. Everyone was friendly, as craft beer places are most often. They were a little understaffed (someone had unexpectedly quit) but the wait staff was courteous and prompt nevertheless. There was an outside area which I never made it to. All-in-all, this is a MUST if you are in South Jersey and I will absolutely be back!

Visited 3 out four nights in wildwood last week. I had read uP on this place and was really excited to check it out. Where else Down the jersey shore can you find 40+ taps, great selection and awesome food. This was a 33 block walk from where we were staying but I gladly made the trek everyday. Had a bunch of solid ipa's on tap including hoptical illusion, rumble, centennial, big A, mojo all of which tasted fresh. Also it was extravaCANza where all cans were 3 bucks. Food was great I had a white pizza with lump crab meat and fresh jersey tomatoes that was delish. Bar tenders were cool and friendly even tho they wouldn't bust out the keg of kbs they had in the basement. There was a weyerbacher event with 5 of their beers on tap including the 15, insanity and pumpkin. Good times. I recommend it and will be going back for sure.

Hit this place up on 7/29 while down in Cape May for the graduation of Golf 185 of the US Coast Guard - Semper Paratus!
We were hoping to hit this place at around 9 or so but damn traffic on the Garden State Parkway put us in a touch later. By the time that we hit Goodnight Irene's, the place was JUMPING! A live band was inside (which made it impossible to hear yourself). The inside is broken out in to two rooms, the bar and dining area. We tried the bar area first as it was far away from the band...but not too far. It's a small place and the acoustics just overwhelm. On the bar side there are a few bar tables, about 5 or 6, with a decent size bar. They have roughly 25-30 beers on tap, the bottle fridge was looking rather barren... but since it was late and packed, I didn't really ask. There is an outside area to this place that has 6 or so huge tables to it, and a decent size bar. The bar outside had only 4 or 5 beers on draft and a a decent bottle/can area. We happened to hit this place while they were doing $3 extrava-CAN-za. For a New Englander, out of town, the most notable of the cans was Sly Fox Pikeland Pilsner and Slyfox Phoenix Pale. I had received the Phoenix Pale in a BIF a few months back, so I was stoke to have this again and then try the Pils. The taps inside (at this time of the year), represented, I think a few of their own brew, Rogue, Stone, DFH, Magic Hat, and a few others. The bar was so packed, it was hard to say what other gems may have been up there. This is definitely a craft bar, with craft offerings and I'd love to go while it's not as crowded to have a better visual of what exactly they HAVE...
That being said ... we ordered a Phoenix Pale and then headed outside. Sat at the bar outside, ordered a side of nachos (they were out of pork - boooo), so we just got the regular nachos. They seriously put some of the HOTTEST jalepenos on those mofo's! My girlfriend is half Mexican and eats jalepenos for breakfast, and even she had to pull a few aside they were so hot! But good! The waitress was pretty chill and talked to us for a while. She tried to hook me up with decent liquor stores in the area where I could find some Captain Lawrence. She tapped in to her beer guy who said - "Yea that stuff sits on the shelves and is so not fresh." Gotta love a bartender who will find out the info for you and give you a straight shot.
$3 cans, and $7 of decent size nachos was a good value. We stayed for a few hours, hung with the locals, and I would definitely go back. A chill local bar (yea made friends with some of the local North Wildwood PD out and about there), with a good beer selection, decent food, and chill ass wait staff.
The knock on selection may have more to do with what was visible and no beer lists available to customers. I'd love a trip back to bump 'em back up.
For a shore bar - this would be a go to place for me!

I vacation in Wildwood every year so this year did some research and came across this spot.
Cool spot about 3 blocks from the boardwalk. Good selection, definitely better than any of the BMC bars in the area. Decent stuff on tap, few surprises like Epic, Great Lakes. Other than nothing that made me do a backflip but very thorough. No real crap on tap though and definitely the best you're going to find in the area.
Only knock was they didnt have any stouts besides Guinness. Even a decent porter would have sufficed. I know its summer, but thats just my personal preference. Great prices, all beers are 4.50 - 6$, with the exception being DFH Red & White, 8$.
On their website they have a bunch of sikk rares "coming soon" so I was hoping to get lucky with one of those but this place has really good selection.
Got some nachos that were pretty darn good, so kudos to that, and they let me order after the kitchen was technically closed which was cool.
Oddly lots of single drunk girls there on a Saturday night on the outside back bar, probably wandered in from all the rented houses off the boardwalk which is a plus if you're looking to score.
Will definitely be back next vacation, and if you're in town check this place out.
Came back here recently.
Walked in and they were hosting a beer pong tournament. Esentially a college frat bar, on a Wednesday night. It wasn't overflowing with drunks, but just not my personal scene for enjoying some beers.
Im not opposed to this and I played plenty of pong in my day, but this exacerbates the fact that they claimed to have Allagash Bourbon Black, and confirmed this when I called. Got there and of course, the confusion continued. I tasted it and couldn't confirm if it wasn't correct, neither could they.
I did have a few pints of GI Matilda which was heavenly. Barkeep/Manager admitted to not knowing much about the "better" beers they had on tap. Good beer, but don't expect the knowlege to follow.
As I said before, its the best you're gonna do in Wildwood, so I'll see you there next summer.
