Poured on tap at The Federal in North Hollywood, CA.
A: The beer is a dark hazy brownish orange with a light tan head.
S: Strong fruity character with some spices underneath. Almost vinous. Malt lies faint in the background.
T: Light fruits and a caramel note most noticeable. Finishes fruity again with a slight herbal note, some bitterness and some spices.
O: Interesting beer, but a bit much after a little while. Probably won't revisit.

Pours a clear dark copper with a foamy khaki head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Foamy swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, and some caramel aromas. Taste is much the same with a sweet malt flavor on the finish. There is a mild hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty average beer aroma and flavor wise but it's pretty drinkable for what it is.
