Poured into a tulip glass. An almost transparent amber with a half finger of head.

Smells like a pine forest, lots of pine. There's some grapefruit and lemon backing it up too. Oh and the malt makes an appearance at the end... lightly caramel smelling.

The hops come rolling in strong and then quickly fade. It was like a big splash... and then it's gone. Kinda fun. The bitterness fades to a crisp malty flavor, not sweet either. It's different and I like it.

At least moderate carbonation; fits well. Lighter body, a creaminess to it.

It's a different IPA than I'm used to, but I enjoyed it. It's not the "smash-your-face-with-hops" IPA, but a nice IPA that likes to be admired and enjoyed for its other attributes.

[Suggested Glassware: Tulip Glass]

The pour was a murky medium apricot orange brown with an average (1-2 finger) off white creamy head that was mostly lasting, diminishing down to a thin film and small collar with fair spotty lacing.

The aroma was of a light biscuit malt, spruce and pine hops and a soapy yeast with notes of caramel, citrus (grapefruit), and a slight fruity ester (peaches and pears).

Taste was mildly malty sweet with a touch of caramel in the beginning, progressing with a mild fruitiness along with a nice hoppy bitterness and a citrus peel bite right at the end. The flavor lasted an average duration after the swallow, with a somewhat pronounced bitter citrusy taste left to linger.

Mouthfeel was just below medium in body with a lightly dry texture and a medium carbonation.

Overall I found this to be a very tasty and well balanced IPA. It possessed a very nice sweet fruity flavor and a somewhat bold citrusy bitterness which balanced each other out superbly, thus concealing the slightly high ABV completely...

Pours a very hazy, murky orange/peach with an off white abundant sticky, clinging head.
Aroma; Get a lot of stringent hops and a combination of grapefruit and orange rinds, along with alcohol.
Taste; More malts than expected but sharp tangy hops still more prominent. I do get some caramel maltiness.
After taste is dry and warming.
Interesting, not to bad at all. A beer that would complement a full meal, but probably not a hot sweat.
