I visited this place with a couple of friends. The atmosphere is great. A chill place with a long bar that goes along the side. A "vault" that has some couches and chairs to relax in. The tap list has gone way down hill. They use to have Belhaven Twisted Thistle, but long gone now. Only one Saint Arnold tap remains of what used to be a good selection. Almost all of the micros have been replaced with macros. The bottle list along with everything else was gone to pot as well. The service is friendly and good. The bartender knows his stuff, and is always up for some conversation. He told me the managment does not really care about keeping craft beers stocked anymore. It is a shame becuase this use to be a great place to hang out with a quality selection.

wow, what the hell is this place doing on BeerAdvocate???
Its a college kid hangout with a fancy Scottish sign and an empty bank vault as a sitting area .. .
Selection is crap, one saint arnolds, and one IPA (stones) ..also had one belhaven on tap (which tasted either old or the lines were dirty) but that was it as far as craft beer is concerned..
This place does not advocate good beer, its a place to get hammered, and pretend you are in a British fish and chips hut that just happens to have bud and carlsberg ..
owner is kind of an ass too, seemed irritated when we walked in the door.. i will never go there again.. if you want a real english style pub in houston..

I love coming to this place whenever I hit up the Rice Village area. It has a nice chill environment and the atmosphere inside the old bank vault is very relaxing. It reminds me of being back in the 1920s. Aaaah the good ol' days... I like their draft selection and they also carry some pretty unique bottled beer. I got to try Unibroue Ephemere Apple there for the first time. They have cool people that work there as well. They have a huge selection of Scotch! I like going to this place. Definately a spot on my map....
