My normal brew shop has very limited hours, so I decided to swing by this shop on an off day to see what's there. I noticed its really a Fire Protection store. They have some homebrew things in the front of the store; beginner homebrew kits, alot of bottling equipment, and some other dry beer ingredients. A few different dry yeasts and hops.
The guy that worked there was very nice, and helpful.
I guess if your a brewer and need something right away, this is a place to go. It has great hours and is open almost everyday, and a place to get CO2 filled. But very very limited for the more advanced brewer.

I decided to check out Smitty's since I was in the area. The shop is located in the factory area of Carlisle near where Carlisle Tire & Wheel is located currently. The store is actually a fire extinguisher shop in one part of the building and the front entrance is the homebrew shop area. I walked in and was greeted w/ a "anything I can do for you" which was basic service, since the person was busy with fire extinguisher stuff, I let it slide.

I perused the small store and noticed hops displayed in a case, but no refrigeration for yeast unless it was located in another area. There was an assortment of equipment to the right as I walked in, but prices were pretty high depending on what you looked at. The glass fermenters for example 5.5 gallon for $45 seemed high to me.
The grain prices were about $1 more a lb than my local also and hops were about $4.50 per ounce - ouch! I consider this on the pricey side since hops are now coming down in price.

The shop is pretty new so if I make it back I will give another shot, but probably would pick up ingredients if prices were the same.
