We stopped in here while on Cape for a friends birthday. I came mainly to look for some beers that I could not get in Connecticut.

The store is very neat and clean with a large liquor selection. I didn't care about that, I'm here for beer!

They have a large selection of macro and imports with some craft mixed in. The usualk DFH, Rogue, SA, etc. Above the coolers, which I had to stand on my toes to see, were singles.

I picked up some mayflower, founders, wachusett, and green flash. Not a large selection of bombers which was dissapointing and they were hidden on the other side of the store. The sales people were nice.

I stayed in Hyannis for a week's vacation last summer and was frustrated by the anemic beer selection at the few stores I found in the area. However, AJ Luke's, though not a micro utopia, did offer some welcome sights. There was a large cooler along the right side that offered a good selection of everything. Plenty of standard macros, of course, fair selections of imports (some decent ones) and a very solid selection of the established high quality micros along with a few more obscure brands including some of the locals. They had growlers of Cape Cod Brewing stuff, a full selection of Cisco bombers, and a few Offshores as I recall. They also had a small area up front with 12 ounce singles that were offered at special reduced prices which seemed to be comprised largely of items that simply hadn't sold within a reasonable time, a few out of season styles, etc. I tried a couple that seemed alright. Prices were at least reasonable. The service was friendly but I didn't see any signs, outside of a reasonable selection, that would categorize this as a haven of beer expertise. So while this is no Mecca, it is a sight for sore eyes, a bit of an oasis in an area that otherwise seems dependent on the British Beer Company for anything resembling a beer destination. I will return the next time I visit Hyannis. Don't miss a visit to Cape Cod Brewing just a couple miles down the road!
