This store still has the best selection of import and craft brews in town (but they are facing stiffer competition from the Hennessey Market). In particular, they have numerous brands from Europe, as well as some of the trendier microbrews from the northwest U.S. This is a must stop around the holidays- they get some special magnums around then. Don't overlook the little nook in back- it is where most of the beer is. Just push right on past the little area that looks like it's for employees only or something. They also have a very good selection of wines, but Montana law doesn't let them carry any fortified wines, like port (nothing over 15%).
The beer is more expensive than you could find at Worden's Market in Missoula, but that's 120 miles away, so whatever.
The soup and salad type of healthy lunch is also quite good- but I haven't eaten there in awhile. They also have lots of hard-to-find gourmet foods.
The only downside is they close at 5 PM- I always have to remember to stop there on my lunch break. I think they could really increase their business if they stayed open til at least six. The owner is very friendly and loves to chat with customers (so don't be in a hurry).

This nice little market has the best selection of carry out beer for 70 miles around Butte.
Not only do they have a case with three coolers in the front part of the store, but there are three larger coolers with mostly six packs further back in the store past the little catering area; don't miss that.
While this store doesn't have as many varieties as Toppers in Helena, the owner is very nice and always tries to get anything I request. They carry most of the Montana craft beers, as well as an interesting selection of foreign and domestic craft beers.

Stopped by here on my most recent trip to Montana to visit relatives. My Uncle told me about this place as he stopped here a few weeks previous to myself. Really nice market/eatery. Lots of stuff crammed into a decent size specialty store. As for the beer....not really a huge selection, but a specific area of specialty. A couple of local micros sprinkled about, but mainly belgian beers. They had two small fridge doors in which was Chimay, Westmalle, Orval, Rochefort and a few other odds and ends plus a couple of end displays of Lindemanns lambic beers. It was nice to see a nice selection of Belgian beers in a previous beer wasteland such as Butte, MT. Worth a stop if not for the beer just to check out the various items in the store.
