This beer has the look of pulp-free, fresh-made lemonade with a head of tiny, clinging bubbles. Very pretty for a cloudy beer!

The smell reminded me of a milder Vernor's ginger ale, complete with the nose burn. A slight mustiness, spices and a hint of citrus finished it's aroma.

The taste was mild and gentle and very true to its style. The effervescence carries the flavor from the sweet taste on the front of your tongue to a slight tartness on back of your tongue.

Easy to drink, I'd sit on a beach watching the sunset with this brew anyday.

A: cloudy orange, barely passes light; persistent, deep eggshell meringue head
S: coriander, yeast, orange zest, lemon
T: muddled tea, lemon/orange zest
M: dry finish, medium-bodied, dishwater
O: Not bad, but not terribly complementary, either. Too dry, not orangy enough, disappointing flavor, could be more crisp or more rich.

Sterkens White Ale has a very thick, spongy, white head, a cloudy (which becomes even cloudier when the bottom 3rd is swished and poured in), fiercely bubbly appearance, and no lacing left on the glass. The aroma is mildly spicy, with faint coriander, banana, and citrus, and a bit of sweet, white bread. Taste is of those elements, with an overarching tap water note. Mouthfeel is mostly watery, and Sterkens White Ale finishes semi-wet and easy drinking.

Poured from a 33 cl bottle into a footed tulip.

A: Hazy, light golden hue. Pours a large, foamy, white head. Settles slowly. Peak and valley lacing.

S: Yeast and sugar.

T: Yeasty, with hints of coriander, lemon pith, and sugar.

M: Light in body. Slightly bitter finish but well balanced with a hint of sweetness.

D: Session.

Atmosphere is pretty good. Nice head, and some persistent albeit lite lacing. Nose is basic yeast and sugary sweetness. Yeasty flavor accentuated with spice, citrus, and sugar. Overall, this is a pretty good quaff.

Recently I had a beer tasting event at my house and I served this. I also went with M to Handlebars in Tempe and they served it. She really knew how to drink it: she asked for a lemon with it.

Poured from a 12 oz. brown bottle with no date code into a pint glass and got 2 fingers of white head that settled to be a covering of white bubbly foam on the top of my glass.

A: Pours a hazy yellow, straw color with 2 fingers of head that dissipates at a moderate rate to leave an interesting, bubbly covering on the top of my glass.

S: Smell of wheat, yeast and some spice.

T: Taste of coriander, citrus and then coriander.

M: Light bodied and highly carbonated with a slightly smaller carbonation. Light, refreshing feel.

O: I like this beer and I like it better without the lemon. I would have it again and might try it on tap next time I'm in Tempe.

Poured a pale yellow gold body with fizzy well-carb'd two finger head that didn't last long. Spicy, clove-like aroma with a mix of sharp citric, mostly orange zest and just a touch of yeast. Overall, a good but not spectacular wit that I enjoyed but was just underwhelmed with at times. Light bodied, smooth, has a good citric orange like flavor with spicy clove to balance and never gets watery, muddled, or just a disgusting sour texture and taste, but the complementary spices aren't really shining and I don't get much more than orange (no banana, hints of tropical). A good wit nonetheless but not one of the best.

Sterkens White Ale is a well made beer with a pretty boring flavour. I bet it's great for a session beer but it's a little dull for just tasting.

A: Cloudy orange colour and a 5 mm head that lasts pretty well. 4.5

S: Yeasty, wheaty goodness. 4

T: Thick and wheaty with some mineral flavours. Not much else going on. 3

M: Really thick and foamy. I kinda like that. 4.5

O: 3.5
