Right in the middle of little 5 points hipster district, so parking is a bitch. But, like so many of the places around here it is worth braving the crowds and douches and general shittiness of getting anywhere in ATL to get here.

It is in an oddly long and narrow space and while it isn't as tiny as it looks it is still pretty small and we were really lucky to walk right in and sit down on a Saturday night. The decor is pretty standard rustic/industrial chic beer bar and the crowd matches.

Service was reasonably good considering the crowd and the waiter certainly knew his beer. The selection was very good, its not the Brick Store but its not far from it. The real attraction here is the food and the pairing possibilities with the beer. The menu is small, but interesting and the execute it well. They have both well made pub food and more adventurous items like house made charcuterie. It was very much worth the trip and I look forward to my next visit.

It might not look as pretty as Brickstore, but the food is ten times better. Nick whips up great seasonal specials - constant rotation.

The cellar is solid for occasionally splurging, though we all hope they continue to improve it and not rest on their laurels.

The tap list is usually interesting, but you can ALWAYS rely on fantastic kegs coming out for themed nights, anniversaries, and craft beer weeks.

The veterans on the staff are particularly good at what they do.

Hundreds of beers. Awesome niche brewhouse with 30something atmosphere. Oh yeah, the food was outstanding.

This is my favorite beer bar in the country. There is always something great on, if you don't like the taplist the vintage list is out of this world.

Visited on Tuesday, July 22nd 2014 for a late lunch.

The neighborhood of Little Five Points is definitely the Silverlake of Atlanta. Even the bums (and there are plenty) have a sort of low key pretension. Parking wasn't difficult at this time, but I can imagine it would be if things were even slightly busy; we parked behind the restaurant in an alley and walked around.

The entry was a bit of a shock as it was so bright outside and so dark inside. The front has a few tables and a bar; we opted to sit in the back and around the corner (the layout is a long right angle) and had the place more or less to ourselves.

Luggage lines one wall that is made to look line a train platform (the place isn't named after the beer style, apparently). Old timey ceiling fans moved the air around. It was cool and a little dark and that was fine with me.

The beer lineup skewed heavily towards out of town breweries on my visit; I was hoping to see what local breweries might be offering and found only one: Orpheus. They had two saisons on draft and I had them both.

The food was a bit pricey and not as good as we had hoped: the g/f had fish and chips (catfish). They fish was over-breaded, too crispy and might have been cooked in old oil? Hard to day. It is easy to say, though, that it wasn't inspiring.

I had the Georgia Wild Shrimp n’ Grits which is white cheddar grits, two types of mushrooms, truffle oil and some remarkably bland shrimp. Still, it was satisfying.

Our waiter had fancy facial hair, a touch of androgyny and polite, fast service. No problems there.

Overall, I might make it a point to go back next time I find myself in ATL, but I'm spoiled by all the excellent gastropubs with outstanding beer lists where I live, so I couldn't get too enthused.

One nice plus was the employee whose name I forgot who saw my Firestone Walker work shirt and engaged me in a beer nerd conversation on my way out. It only lasted five minutes, though, because my g/f was sitting outside, fending off bums' requests to make calls on her cell phone.

Unbelievable selection of beer. Great atmosphere. Food is excellent. Service can be slow at times, but that's because this place is always super busy. I was able to find an oak aged 15th anniversary Great Divide double IPA, which was one of the best beers I've ever had ( well worth the $30 price tag).

Definitely staffed by beer lovers…knowledgeable and will talk beer. Food is a little overrated as far as I am concerned, although I appreciate the small plate efforts and local flavors. Go here for the beer and you will not be disappointed.

Service was a little rushed…I got the feeling we weren't quite cool enough for the server. Hint: don't blow off old fat guys dining with their wife, to hang with your friends…we probably tip better.

I would recommend the bar versus tables, especially if you are trying the beers. I will go back, and I would recommend it because small restaurants need to see our business, and this one is on the right track. The beer options alone should keep most hop head and dark beer lovers happy.
