Served on-tap at Al's of Hampden.

A - Pours murky golden orange with a nice one finger tall white head, dissipating down to a light film, leaving spotty strands of lace down the glass.

S - Smells of pungent citric hops, grapefruit zest, pine resin, fresh cut grass, dash of spice and some lightly toasted caramel malt sweetness. Smells really hoppy with a light kick.

T - Starts off with a nice citric hop bite that lingers through the finish. The grapefruit, pine and grass combine with the mild sweetness to help round it all together. Finish is a little sweet with some hop bitterness and a touch of burn, lingering long after the finish.

M - Medium body with moderate carbonation. Sweet, bitter feel with a bit of pepper heat. The mix of bitter, sweet and heat is quite interesting and well balanced.

O - Really enjoyed this one. When I first had it I thought the burn was just some extra booze coming through but once I found out about the Habanero it made way more sense. It has all of the flavors I enjoy in a DIPA yet it remained drinkable and didn't destroy the palate, even with the inclusion of the Habanero. Probably one of the best pepper IPA's I have had.

Pour is hazed amber yellow with a white head. Nose is heavy orange citrus, very bright and juicy with a note of grapefruit. Man that's citrusy and easy to drink. The bitterness is very light through the finish with excellent carbonation and a larger body. The taste is so citrusy, it has a touch of doughy malts right up front to balance a huge orange citrus blast with a hint of grapefruit and some spice through the finish.
