Served on-tap at Al's of Hampden.
A - Pours hazy yellow with a small half finger tall white head, dissipating down to a light film, leaving spotty streaks of lace down the glass.
S - Pretty simple really. Smells of fresh coconut, bit of hops and some malt and that's about it really. Coconut is there but not over the top which is welcome.
T - Starts off with a huge dose of fresh coconut that never fades away. Hints of pale malt and a dash of hops offer a bit of contrast but this one is all about the coconut. Finish is kinda sweet with even more coconut, not lingering for very long after the finish. The coconut is really strong here compared to the nose.
M - Light body with moderate carbonation. Smooth, sweet feel works really well with all that coconut.
O - Honestly, I hardly ever get cream ale's and I usually hate coconut, but this just worked really well. It packs a ton of flavor into a small package and remains easy drinking. Another nice option for the lighter beer drinkers.
