Firkin via cask handpull at Al's of Hampden.

A - Pours murky amber orange with a nice creamy one finger tall white head, quickly dissipating down to a light film, leaving spots of lace down the sides of the glass.

S - Smells of fresh piney hops, dulled apricot pulp, caramel sweetness from the malt and some meatiness from the bacon. Still plenty of hops and the bacon is there as well but the malt is pretty strong.

T - Starts off with quite a bit of caramel malt sweetness slowly giving way to a mix of piney hop bitterness, dulled fruitiness and some light smokey ness from the meat. Finish is sweet with a bit of bitterness thrown in, not lingering for very long after the finish. Still possesses most of the base flavors but they seem to be fading fast.

M - Medium body with moderate carbonation. Smooth, malty feel with some bitterness at the end of each sip. Booze is hidden pretty well.

O - A novelty to try but the hops have begun to fade already and the malt is coming on strong. Kind of tastes like a meaty Barleywine honestly. Worth a shot for the novelty of it but I will stick with some of the other beers currently on.
