This offering was tapped on the day that I visited Al’s of Hampden – can’t get fresher than that!
Appearance is a cloudy straw color with a thin layer of head. The nose is pleasantly hoppy. This is quite full-bodied for a single IPA. The flavor profile is leads with citrus notes. The hoppiness is certainly present, but not as amped up as the very, very best single IPAs. Nevertheless, the hoppiness blends well with the citrus fruit.
I could have had this beer over and over. The only problem was that there were too many mouthwatering offerings available - repeating anything would have been sinful.

Served on-tap at Al's of Hampden.
A - Pours slightly hazy golden yellow with a small half finger tall white head, quickly dissipating down to a light film, leaving small streaks of lace down the sides of the glass.
S - Smells of pungent tropical galaxy hops, bitter fruit rind, fresh cut grass and some lightly toasted pale malt. The galaxy hops are front and center as they should be.
T - Starts off with the strong tropical fruit presence from the galaxy hops slowly being joined by the fresh grass, fruit rind and the pale malts. Finish is a little chewy with some light fruitiness and plenty of bitterness, not lingering for very long after the finish.
M - Medium body with moderate carbonation. Feel is slightly chewy with plenty of hop bitterness. Booze is pretty much non existent.
O - Aside from the Citra this is probably my favorite of the single hop tests. The galaxy hops shine brightly throughout and the rest of the flavors only enhance them. My glass disappeared quickly, I will get my fill while I can.

Growler into a snifter. The brew appears a clear golden yellow color with a white frothy topping. Decent retaining powers.
The smell is juicy with herbal grassy hops. Some pith and pulp elements, zest and just an overall good feeling nose on this.
The taste is zesty and grassy with pithy pulpy bitterness to keep things in line. A minor amount of malt without sweetness is also evident.
This is a light bodied brew, moderate carbonation and easy drinking. A nice representation of one of my favorite hops. Unfortunately, the nose was peobably the most enjoyable attribute.
