Served as a slightly hazy light amber color with moderate head. Smell denotes a nice hop presence without being overpowering. Taste blends the perfect dry hops character with light malt. Finishes long and dry, withou=t being overpowering. Very easy to drink. My glass was gone very quickly. Excellent beer.

A pint at Al's.

A: The IPA is a hazy golden yellow, to the point of opacity. A quarter- to a half-finger of white head keeps the ale company.

S: The Zythos, perhaps my first run-in, has pine and grapefruit, plenty of hop bitterness amongst a sweet caramel base.

T: Sweetly bitter, not nearly as much as juiciness as Arck Angel. The caramel and biscuit stand out amongst the hops, which are very aromatic and citrusy. There is even some pine running through the ale. The bitterness isn't very pronounced, an accompaniment rather than the star. Bitterness is the finish, although it isn't very strong.

M: Truth be hold, the Arck Angel is the one to spend some time with. The hoppiness is strong here but not nearly as focused.

Served on-tap at Al's of Hampden.

A - Pours murky golden orange with a nice one finger tall white head leaving spotty streaks of lace down the glass.

S - Time to see what these new hops are all about. Smells of tropical fruits, pine needles, some light sweetness and plenty of hop bitterness. Not the most balanced nose but still plenty to like.

T - Starts off with some light sweetness quickly giving way to some dulled citric hop bitterness and some fresh cut pine. Gets a little bready as it warms up, further diluting the hop bitterness. Finish is a mix of sweetness and light hop bitterness, not lingering for very long. Not too bad but the hops weren't as strong as I thought they would be.

M - Smooth feel with plenty of hoppy flavor and moderate carbonation. While the hops are nice, they muddle the other flavors, leaving this one a little unbalanced.

O - I liked this one. These new hops are pretty good, they have a nice nose but are a tad weak on the taste. I would have another if Arck Angel wasn't also on, that is the real star.
