A west coast style IPA, over-the-top hoppy and oh so dry. Hopped with simcoe, columbus and a touch of citra.

Pours slighty hazy and a dull amber orange with a frothy head of off-white foam. Lacing sticks around.

The aroma is citrus, fresh hops, mango, and melon. Noticeable hop aroma, but not your typical west coast dankness.

Tropical and citrusy hops galore with a faint malt backbone that provides just enough caramel malt sweetness to make this an outstandingly drinkable IPA.

Mouthfeel is dry, but aroma and flavors are perfectly balanced.

Overall, a damn good IPA, tastes very similarly to a local favorite of mine, but I won't name names.

An active billowing pour yields three plus fingers worth of rich frothy light khaki colored head with a bit of a waffled top... Excellent retention... The color is a muted bronze... Mostly still with a stray carbonation bubble visible here and there... A good bit of lacing clings to the sides of the glass... The nose is dominated by a citrus forward hop presence... Grapefruit... Pineapple... Orange... Mango... Assorted other tropical fruits... Never overpowering, but leaves no doubt that you're about to encounter some happy goodness... The palate produces more of a solid malt backbone... The hops also take some additional piney and earthy dimension... Medium bodied... Smooth... Sleek... Slight carbonation... A bit sticky... A highly enjoyable American IPA that I'm proud to say is brewed a mere few miles from my house... Kudos to Al and Terry on another solid bottle offerings...

Not as hoppy as I was led to believe and very dry.

Poured from a bomber into a teku glass. Dated 8/2014

Honesty not your typical west coast IPA. Smells of citrusy, sharp, astringency but drinks very easily. Very drinkable at 6.5% too. Great lacing around the glass as I sip and decent head retention. Not the best west coast style IPA I have ever had but I would seek this out again for sure. Drank this at 55 degrees cellar temp. I suggest you do the same!
