Doesn't look similar to the beer in the picture. Almost clear, and not clouded at all. Nice profile on this one in an easy drinking kind of way. Pine tones are there. A very rounded tone to it. Smooth feel. Like I said: easy drinking. Definitely an improvement over my last two growlers from Pizza Boy.

Great Beer. Creamy & hoppy. Wicked taste and the Snipa is no BS...It hits you about halfway through beer two...WOW. Good Job Terry.

I don't like long reviews, It's just good beer. I travel and drink 10+ new beers a week and this is tops. Good pour, nice caramel color. Good head that sticks to the glass an a ful mouthfeel.

Served on tap at Al's of Hampden in Enola, PA

A: Pours a lightly hazy medium golden apricot in color with light to moderate amounts of gentle visible carbonation and orange + golden yellow highlights. The beer has a finger tall dense foamy off-white head that slowly redues to a thin film covering the majority of the surface of the beer and a thick ring at the edges of the glass. Significant amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate to strong aromas of citrus/grapefruit hops with some lighter notes of caramel malts (slightly sweet) and just a touch of grassy hops.

T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of caramel malts with just a touch of sweetness. That is followed by strong flavors of citrus/grapefruit hops and just a touch of honey/brown sugar. Just a light note of bitterness and fades pretty quickly.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth, almost creamy with just a slight hint of alcohol warming in the finish.

O: This was a very enjoyable beer and a nice example of the DIPA style - wonderful aromas/flavors of grapefruit hops which I really enjoyed. Overall, this one is well balanced and tasty.

First had: on tap at Pizza Boy

Golden-yellow pour with a frothy white head; moderate retention and lacing. Nice, fresh, hoppy aroma, citrusy, sweet malt base. There was a distinctive candy sweetness in the taste that I wasn't expecting--kind of reminded me of Mike & Ikes. I actually couldn't tell if this flavor was coming from the malts or the hops. Not too typical for an IPA, but it worked here. The sweetness was countered by a good citrus and grassy hop profile, with a minimal bitterness. Fresh, clean, and flavorful. Medium body, and quite good overall.

Served on-tap at Al's of Hampden.

A - Pours golden yellow with a nice one finger tall white head leaving sticky rings of lace down most of the glass.

S - Smells of freshly juiced grapefruits, grassy hops, mildly toasted caramel malt and a dash of booze as it warms to room temperature. Fairly well balanced nose, nice.

T - Starts off with a nice grassy hop bite quickly giving way to the strong grapefruit flavor with the sugary sweet malt helping to round things out. A bit of booze comes in as it warms up. Finish is a little sweet with lots of hop bitterness, leaving the palate dried long after the finish.

M - Medium body with moderate carbonation. Smooth, sweet feel with lots of hop bitterness. Only a touch of the 9.7% shows.

O - A very nice DIPA. It has everything you would want in a DIPA yet it remains well balanced and easy to drink. One of the better hoppy beers Pizza Boy has made to date. Get some while you can.
