A: Bright, straw yellow with froathy white head. Good lacing.
S: Tart, slightly astringent, yet pleasant sour aroma. Reminiscent of a Berliner, but without all the wheat on the nose. Pineapples and citrus fruits.
T: Good acidity levels, tight and crisp. Round, fruity and tart. Clean finish.
M: Once you get past the initial sour shock to your palate, it comes across as light and dry. No bad tannins on the end.
O: The name says it all. Crack one of these open (at Al's) on a warm summer afternoon, sit in the outdoor area, and you'll see why it's an Afternoon Delight.

Poured into a Pizza Boy snifter...
A - A standard pour yeilds a finger's worth of pure snow-white colored slighly fizzy whimsical head... Minimal retention gives way to little or no lacing and the slightest of collars... The color is a vibrant slightly glowing pale golden orange... There is a slight haziness... Mostly still with a couple of stray carbonation bubbles seen rising throughout...
S - This beer smells fresh... Some light tartness... Lots of light refreshing tropical fruit goodness... Subtle touches of Belgian yeast and wheat... A faint bit of funkiness on the nose as well...
T - A minimalistic lactic acid tartness to beging... Slightly fruity and tropicalll... A mix of orange and lemon zest... The majority of the hops take on a mix of earthy and lemony character - almost a mix of hallertu and sorachi... Some light Belgian yeast notes... There is also a faint slightly spicy wheat component...
M - Light bodied... Limted yet lively carbonation... Clean... Crisp... Ultra refreshing... Slightly saliva inducing... Each sip is even and consistent...
D - Very easy drinking... Highly enjoyable... Stylistically, this one seems to walk a fine line between American Wild Ale, Saison and Berliner Weissbier, but that's a good thing in my opinion... Further proof that Pizza Boy is beginning to turn out some truly exceptional offerings...
