A Belgian-styled grisette with a lean body, peppery spice and pear-like fruitiness.

A - Two fingers worth of active airy big fluffy off-white colored froth... Modest at best retention as this one visible fizzes away in front of our eyes... What's left if a mostly full slightly splotchy lacing with a thin collar... On occasional bubble can be seen bursting through the surface... The color is a slightly hazy peachy amber... Loaded with very quick paced carbonation... This one has a faint "glow" to it as well...
S - The nose leads with a vibrant burst of bready malty goodness and some overripe fruits... Peach... Apricot... Banana... Honeydew... There is a very light layer of sweet Belgian yeast... A very subtle spice component lingers a layer or two beneath the surface... Robust, impactful and quite pleasant...
T - Bready malts are at the forefront as expected... This is followed by a slightly sweet fruit presence... the Belgian yeast presence is a distant third... The spices are very subtle, but still present if one pays close enough attention... There are also some notes of light lemon zest... Throughout there is a subtle yet lingering layer of seltzer like saltiness which intensifies slightly towards the finish and takes on a slightly metallic character... It's not off putting, but it certainly doesn't add to the overall enjoyment of an otherwise stellar offering...
M - On the lighter side of medium bodied... Light carbonation... Crisp... Even and consistent...
D - An easy drinker that goes down smoothly and keep things just interesting enough that it doesn't getting boring... If it weren't for the slightly salty / metallic notes detected on the palate, this would be a world class session ale... As is, it's still enjoyable and a much appreciated alternative to it's higher ABV counterparts... Another nicely done crew from Al and Terr...

Pours a hazy neon yellow with a thin white head. Aroma of sweet fruit, apricot, peach, apple, tart wheat malt. Flavor of light wheat malt, light fruits, just a touch of sour apple but it’s pretty subtle. While the aroma is very fruity, sweet, and a touch sour, the flavor is light, with emphasis on the malt as well as lightly fruity/slightly sour notes. A very refreshing and drinkable beer.
