Pours clear and auburn, no head, no apparent carbonation

Nose is nice, caramel-candied malt. Comes across like a Barleywine, maybe a little sweeter.

It's difficult to separate the taste from the mouthfeel on this one because it is so damn flat. The taste itself is very nice, following the nose with a sweeter than normal Barleywine flavor, roasted malt I would say, no Hoppiness, and not bitter.
Alcohol is notably low, a low-alcohol Barleywine. :/

Mouthfeel kills it for me, as this beer... Is dead. No carbonation at all, not a trace. Just the smallest amount would have given the decent flavor a lift and would have actually made this a great beer. So I like to imagine that's what it was like. Cannot mark down too much as the beer is so old.

Glad I received it at half the retail price. A nice experience to try but will not try again, even if found, as it's just been in the bottle too damn long

This pours a ruddy, tawny color, slightly hazy orange. No noticeable foam. It’s a low carbonation beer over all so this was not a surprise.

The aroma is remarkably barleywine-like, minus a strong hop presence. I get definite notes of coconut (toasted) and orange peel as I nose it. Smooth drinking, it has those orange peel and coconut nuances and finishes sweet.
