Served on-tap at the brewpub.
A: The golden lager is, indeed, gold. And very pale too. It arrived sans head and sat like an ugly duckling. But, hey, every flight has to start somewhere.
S: The nose is nonexistent, a little fizzy and a little hoppy and plenty grainy. Fits the target though in those regards. There isn't anything worth mentioning though.
T: The lager has a bit of a ringwood sweetness, that slightly off sweetness that seemingly comes out of nowhere. The sweetness of the grains and yeast drives the entire body, overtaking all but the faintest of mild hops and any other flavors that may want to emerge. Not a good start to my flight (things did improve drastically though).
M: The mouthfeel is average, bubbly but lacking in any one distinctive flavor that really stands out. For all Nodding Head fans, this seems to be a BPL (bill-paying lager.
D: I would not go to this one again. There are too many interesting brews on the Main St. list to go down this route. One of only two that have a '-' sign next to them in my book.

A pretty mild and even brew. A bit heavy on the malty sweet tone of things. Almost am apple juice kind of tone to things, that somehow comes across as tolerant. Minimal grain tones. An easy drinker with a better level of character than most of similar style. I've certainly had worse pale lagers.
