Okay first I've been meaning to add this place for quite awhile, there are two locations in Chattanooga. I believe they don't actually brew at this one, only at their downtown location and have product shipped up here. Located in a shopping mall district right off the interstate, we stopped to go to a chain BBQ joint right across the way from this place. Awesome atmosphere, packed to the gills with a nice mix of folks. Everybody well dressed and out on the town for the night, my cousin Joe and I were rather road traveled in our most modest of scrubs. After filling our bellies with okay ribs but really good BBQ sauce with both decided Big River would be a nice pitstop for at least a sampler. The sampler did deliver okay Sweet Magnolia Brown, Black Iron Stout, and Big River Vienna were the best of the sampler we both tried. Of course they threw another name on this joint but it's another Gordon Biersch owned southern themed chain of brewpubs. Not horrible well done but a tad cookie cutter, however this locale was pretty upscale and nice with thier decor. No food just sat at the bar and did the sampling thing, standard brewpub selection service was typical of this type of place located in a mall setting. Overall decent experience worthy of a stop driving from Acworth Georgia back to Wintersville Ohio. Samplers were very affordable and imperial pints were only 3.50 to 4.50 not a bad deal-e-o.
