It's called Bling Bling and there is an orange smiley face on the front of it? I don't get it.

Excessive amount of foam as I pour it into my glass. It's almost all foam at first, so I have to go even slower on the pour. Flavor profile carries some clear hop influence. Seems to be one dimensional with a minimal amount of diversion for showing varying characteristics. So, it's kind of a smack in the mouth, in an apa kind of way. It's nice enough, though the carbonation is too much. I don't know if that's standard, or if I have a minor infection here. The flavor profile doesn't seem to be showing signs of infection. Anyways. This is a pretty decent apa. I can dig it. Seems to be getting more pleasant as it's warming.

22oz bottle -> american pint
no date

Pours a clear pale orange with big light white head.

Nose: toffee, butterscotch, pineapple

Thin medium body. Starts with caramel and toffee and some of the butterscotch from the nose. Orange rind and pineapple are light in the background, with a stingy bitterness that hangs around.

I.m guessing this is better fresh. Will revisit as i suspect this may be an older bottle.

Picked this one up at the grocery store and poured into a glass at fridge temperature. Pours a cloudy yellow color with a quickly dissipating head and also has no lacing down the sides of the glass. Theres a slight bitter off taste that kinda throws off the hop flavor. Other than that set back, citrusy flavors and orange peel seem to be the dominate flavors here. Not my favorite brew but ill be back to try more from buckeye brewing.

Pours a pale orange with clear carbonation presence. Little to no head.

Smells of grapefruit and juicy fruit...leaning towards amarillo.

Simple malt character. Some straw, bready, and grainy notes with the focus being the hops. These add a piney finish with a nice amount of juicy fruit character and pear.

This is a tasty pale ale being seems to be one dimensional and lacks a rounded malt character or much malt character at all. One thing can be said that this does not drink like the 6.3% that it is and goes down very easily.

From 01/02/11 notes. Shared by jslot38 at a local tasting; thanks Justin.

a - Pours a transparent golden color with one inch of white head and moderate carbonation evident.

s - Smells of oranges and tangerines, citrus hops, and fruity malts. The oranges are overpowering but very enjoyable.

t - Tastes of citrus hops, oranges, and light pine. Slightly bitter up front. Nice, but a step down from the nose.

m - Medium body and moderate carbonation.

d - A nice APA. If you like oranges, you'll probably like this one a lot. Would have again.

22 oz bomber. Funny, retro-ish label.

Pours very clear, an ever-so-slightly-orange gold. Many smlow and small carb trails. A thickish white head patches to the glass. Smell is candy-like, kinda like Skittles, with some biscuity backdrop. The Amarillo shines as well. Taste is sweet grapefruit-citrusy. Sort of tart, with bits of lemon and lime as well, but not incredibly dry for the finish. A decent bitterness after the sip. Very nice, just a chewy, tasty, hoppy pale ale.

I decided to have two more tastings before a long cutoff. This was the first and was done solo, served cold and into a pint glass, these were consumed on 11/18/2010.

The first one I cracked open last night, this one really did a good bit to impress me I have to say. A nice light amber pour with great carbonation led to a robust white head of about three inches in height that quickly came forward and left a ton of lacing down the sides of the glass. Aroma is loaded with light hops, hints of light grain a nice citrus splash. Bites of lemon and pineapple quickly sneak up on you as you take the first sips, definitely a winner here. Crisp, clean and light each sip seems to just brighten up the palate. Nice clean hops with a great dry finish leaves you looking for another sip very quickly.

Overall I thought this was an excellent pale. Really very drinkable and very enjoyable nothing I could really complain about at all.

22oz bomber poured into SA glass.
Thin, white foam atop clear, pale yellow liquid.
Citrus, orange, wheat and caramel sugar overtones.
Fizzy, tangy hop flavor throughout. Light body with lingering bitterness.
I am partial to Amarillo hops and enjoy this APA. Goes down easy and could be included as a session brew.

Poured from a 22 oz bottle into a pint glass. Pours like a topaz, clear, brilliant, almost gem-like in appearance. A white frothy head reduces as it clings to the sides.

Smell is mild; some citrusy hops and faint malt, but the nose is alomst non-existent.

Taste is crisp, milder and maltier than I'd expect from a pale ale. Almost sweet, there's a slight spice, citrus and bitterness that hits the back of the tongue.

Mouthfeel is crisp, refreshing, and slightly spicy and dry.

Highly drinkable, I've definitely got to try this on tap the next time I'm at the Beer Engine.

Enjoyable pale ale, with understated orange taste that is very drinkable. Slight orange coloured body with a little off-white head. Hoppy aroma.Average mouthfeel.Spot-on American style pale, with the citrus taste right there.Sweetish, not quite as orange soda, but a bit toward that.

Found this beer at the Dilly Deli. Not their best choice, but have never seen it before.

A- A nice yellowish-orange color with a medium head. A little cloudy for a pale ale.
S- Wow. A lot more citrus hops than I expected. I can get a hint of candied grapefruit as well. The sugary smell is a little over powering, but the hops are there as well.
T- Great hop flavor, but a bit dry. In fact, this beer is very dry for the style. It is almost like drinking a grapefruit with vodka poured on top. A great flavor with a burn!!
MF-Medium carbonation and light on the tongue. The dry aftertaste makes you want more immediately.
D- Very Drinkable. This would be a great session beer for a cookout or a ball game. I don't think this is the best beer I have ever had, but would be great for summer cookouts.

I'm not sure where I would get this beer again, but would buy it for an outside occasion. I've never heard of this brewery or this beer. That being said, I was quite impressed.

Pours a clean yellow to orange-ish color with an off white head. In the aroma, a sweeter malt and a light citrus like hop. In the taste, light citrus/ grapefruit hop and a malt that is dryer than expected. A small bitter and medium mouthfeel, with a small dry hop in the aftertaste. Nice hop presence for a pale and really nice.
