Poured from 22 oz bottle into glasses and shared with a friend. The bottle has a dating system where they have months and years printed on the side of the label and notch the year and month. It was really hard to decipher if it was actually notched, but the best I can tell, this beer was from December 2012 (purchased from Arnold's Liquor Lokker in Keeseville, NY). So, better than 18 months old.
Dark translucent brown with slight light tan head. Pretty much perfect for the style.
Aroma is of dried fruit - dates, plums, raisins. Very nice.
Taste follows the nose, with plum and raisin, brown sugar and caramel. Slight bitterness. I detected some metallic taste and attribute this to the age of the bottle. I'd love to try one a little younger.
Mouthfeel is nice - viscous and full, with adequate carbonation. Just right for a quad.
Overall, a good quad, but unfortunately the one I got may have been a little past it's prime. I'll grab a fresher one if I ever see it again.

The beer pours a dark brown near cola color. Minimal head fades to a barely there collar. The beer is dark, but what can be seen it is fairly cloudy as well.
The scent have notes of dark fruit and sugar. So e plums, treacle and a vague general yeast scent.
The flavor is similar beginning with an interplay of brown sugar and prunes. Finishes a touch sweet. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and appropriate for the style.
Overall it is a good beer, but falls short of the expectations I have for a quad. Lacks complexity and depth of flavor I expect. No flaws, but falls short of what a quad can be.

4's across the board for this solid quad.
Poured from the bomber into willi becher glasses.
Pours a nice deep amber with a touch of burgundy, one finger of head that dissipates.
Smells really nice...good strong aromas of yeast and plum and raisin.
Tastes very much in line with aromas, my tasting partner picked up some metalic aftertaste and I only got a hint of that.
Mouthfeel was nice, very drinkable.
Overall, I found this a very nice, very tasty quad.
