Poured from a 22oz bottle into a standard pint glass.

A - pours a cloudy medium straw with a 2 finger rocky white head.

S - sweet. Wheat. Lots of typical belgian spicey, peppery estery profles, especially as t warms.

T - pepper, belgian, hoppy, earthy, wheaty, malty, fruity

M - full bodied. A little fuller than I prefer Triples.

D - middle of the road. Not easy nor difficult to consume.

Overall, not a bad beer. I was expecting a little more hoppiness, but I'm not sure of the bottle age

Bomber bottle (bottled apr/14) poured into a stemmed tulip glass, colour is a clear light gold. Creamy white head with really solid lacing and retention.

S - slick candy sugars, lemony yeast, pecan. Grassy and piney hop notes, a bit of a full bodied belgian yeast character, spicy and robust. Quite light overall with some floral character.

T - an immediate rolling flavour cascading in. Strong full sweet belgian yeasty notes, and also a grassy hoppiness. A really intense flavour, lightly caramel, malt sweetness, lemony, spicy yeast, peppery, and a subtle smoky foresty character. Piney and a bit herbal as the flavour transitions, coating with a bit more robust oiliness then dries out to an even balanced finish. Flavour is a bit more aggressive than some of the belgian tripels, but pretty things makes it a controlled rollercoaster.

M - Quite full but balance is done really well with so much going on. Starts with more sweet alcohol then gets more hoppy and bitter, some of the yeast comes into play as well helping to dry out the finish. Carbonation is on the light side but the alcohol is a positive aspect here, though it does make itself known, it doesn't mean this doesn't drink really sublimely. A big beer, but it satisfies.

Haven't had many tripels in awhile, but fluffy rabbits is excellent, and a good example in general of american brewers staying relatively true to style while upping the assertiveness of these beers. This is a complex melange of full bodied yeast, sugary alcohol, with also an assertive floral/piney/herbal hop character, all woven together to make for an intense but memorable brew.
