Uncle got a pony keg of this for Memorial Day family extended weekend. Did not take notes, but drank a crap ton of it. Said pony keg is now a dead horse.

Bit of a hazy bright gold body. Slightly off-white head retained decently, and even left decent rings on the side of the glass.

Had to really dig my nose in to get the scent. It wasn't bad, just barely existent. What I did smell though, was slightly orangey backed up with flower petals that are just past their prime. I expect a brighter hop aroma.

Hey, tastes way more than it smells. Citrusy, with some overripe tropical fruit. There is a fleetly appearing/reappearing caramelly biscuity note, but that falls to the side. So very juicy. Seriously, like an orange juice/Sprite mix.

A little heavier in the mouth than most of the drier APAs. Alcohol was subdued in taste and action.
This reminded me of an English Pale Ale that used American C Hops. Still quite drinkable while playing in the sun I assure you. I like that it is NOT an exact clone of many other PAs out there. If I were Bloomington though, I'd get their great hop taste into the aroma.

Serving: On tap at Nick's into a jar
Served: 5 July 2014

Appearance: Pours a hazy amber brown with a minimal head. Really not a looker.

Smell: Slight malt sweetness evident, though one admittedly has to search for it. Dank, citrus hops in the nose.

Taste: This one got better the more I got used to it, but the first few sips had a distinctively 'earthy' quality to them which made them taste almost dirty, so to speak. The earthy funk was really offputting originally, until I slowly became accustomed to it. After this, the beer drank more-or-less like a standard, if uninspiring, APA with a lighter malt backbone than most, but with a decent hoppiness.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light with medium carbonation.

Overall: Not the best APA I've ever had, and one of the weakest options for a hoppy beer in Bloomington. Would not order again, unless I was with a group that only wanted to go to BBC.

On tap at Nicks in Bloomington.

A: Light clear amber body with minimal head.

S: Very light grain with some sweetness. For me this APA seemed to have a very light aroma.

T: Very light with some sweetness - honey, brown sugar, fruit. Apple?

M: Light to medium. A bit of sweetness. For an APA this seems somewhat on the light side. Not bad but not what I was expecting either.

O: Good but borderline on being too light. I will drink again hopefully.

cold from the tap at players pub a semi translucent honey gold ro a sierra nevada standard pint with a 1/2 finger foamy, big bubbled, long lasting off white head leaving spotty lace after the first few sips.

subtle grassy hops aroma and a bit of yeast and sweet aramel malt after.

muted hops alongside caramel-ly sweet malts and hints of butterscotch.

light bodied, big carbonation, minimal bitter to the roof of the mouth, malty sweet to the back of the tongue.

overall: ok, not great, refreshing, decent if you're staring at BMC choices otherwise.

This beer was good, but I like big apas, and this just wasn't big enough. good mouthfeel and it goes down smooth. smells good, nice hop presence. If you're eating at lennie's, this is a great choice to go with your pizza or pasta. This is my personal go-to beer at lennie's.

I have had this once before and remember it as a little lighter, not that's good or bad, just different. It has a nice appearance, darker amber than I recall. Nice creamy white head. Has a nice citrus hop smell, but a little maltier taste than alot of American ales (definitely not as bitter as Sierra Nevada)! Pretty tasty! I like the blending of the malt and hops, it has a good body, but it's very drinkable.

On-tap at FarmBloomington.

This was getting to the end of the keg, and seemed very hazy at first. It settled with a thick and creamy inch of foam, with dimpled craters in its surface. Orange copper body once it settled it had good clarity.

Sweet and bready malt aroma, a little yeast and a touch of flowery hops in the nose. Sweet bread and butter flavors, citrus rind, backed up with a mild bitterness. Very creamy feel, possibly due to the extra end-of-keg sediment. Easy drinking, simple yet effective.
