Notes & Commercial Description:
Beer added by: rlee1390 on 07-03-2013

Prior to working at BBC, assistant brewer Nick Banks was an avid home brewer. This recipe is a scaled up version of a Belgian Strong that Nick would often brew at home.

Brewed with fresh ground coriander, sweet and bitter orange peel, amber candy sugar, 4 malts, 5 hops and a traditional Belgian yeast, this is an elaborate beer. The name comes from the fact that it takes a few drinks (seven sips for us) to fully realize the complexity of this beer.

A-Deep ruby brown, one finger off white head, some lacing

S- lots of plums, dark fruits, malt caramel. Tad bit of vanilla as well.

T-very sweet, but nicely balanced. Good deal of plums, dark fruits, caramel, vanilla. Some grass notes as it warms.

M-Medium bodied, nicely carbonated

O-A well balanced, sweet, easy drinking Belgian. Although the alcohol can sneak up in you.
