Served from the tap in a 22oz mug. Jet black, opaque, thin tan head, decent lacing. Aroma of bitter roast ed malt, a touch of smoke. Taste is similar, a little acidic. But good balance between sweet and dry. Mouthfeel approaching thick. Overall a pretty tasty stout if that's your thing.

Had on tap in Medora, ND--served into a pint glass

Appearance: black in color, 1/4 inch head, opaque, moderate carbonation

Smell: coffee and roasted malt

Taste: black coffee and light charred malt with a tad bit of caramel

Mouthfeel: medium-heavy bodied, medium carbonation, sweet with a slightly bitter backbone

Overall: There is nothing wrong with this beer. It is an expresso stout and if you are into them, give this a try. It is a step above macro versions of the style I have had. That said I really cannot find anything that jumps out about this one either. If given the choice of the Beaver Creek beers I would go with the gold.

Serving type: on-tap
